I for one have decided to buy British where possible even if it is more expensive. The Chinese won't get my money 💰 until they financially help the world recover from this virus 🦠

It seems everybody and their dog is in the same mind set.
I've always tried to buy British, if British not possible, American or Norwegian.
Berkley, Mustad, Partridge, ESP etc.....
What I want to see are British made Bivvy and Brollies again
Any company who did manufacture in the UK and produced a simple, reliable product in a no bull S### manner, have it on a plate!

Does this mean you will be selling most of your kit including the imported bait boat you are always promoting?
It would be impossible to kit yourself out with an entirely UK manufactured, including the materials, carp set up. As said in another thread we don't seem to manufacture anything here except for high end niche market goods.

Where possible i buy British such as -
Delkim alarms
Defiant MPS metal ware and indicators
Harrison Rods
Ex British Army Bergen's and sleeping bags ( although not sure where they are made ). Trangia stove from Sweden.
Apart from that USA Berkley & Power Pro line, then everything else probably Far East?

Good shout buy British where ever possible stuff the Chinese they where bragging today that they are clear of the virus just the rest of the world to sort out now come on Chris manifold start a new company

Or like any business if they see a trend then perhaps they'll move to in house like the good old days.
seriously though this countries economy is on its feet anyway before the Chinese virus..... we need to rebuild everything and with Brexit too.....
Know it's hard when the market is flooded with tat from China but if we keep buying it we won't ever get to where we should be...

OK let's take a brief look at some mentioned so far.
Berkley owned by a asset management company with global manufacture.
Mustad bought Partridge and have the largest hook manufactureing factory in the world but its in China.
Esp, not sure but thought their main manufacturing was in Malaysia?
Delkim made in UK? Or assembled from imported parts?
Harrison, made from imported carbon cloth and resins, built in the main from imported components.
Century as above.
Which good old days would they be? We have always been good innovative designers but never great at mass production. The Japanese had to come here and show us how to do that.

You've really confused me with this one, most tackle shops whether in the UK or Europe sell stuff manufactured in China because they get the best margins on it as do most of the tackle companies.
Maybe supporting UK manufacturers products? As opposed to the tackle shops??????
