In reply to Post #8 Yes mate for the daiwa black emblems. When fitted, they either were too tight to put standard 15lb line under or were more loose than a wizard's sleeve. Shocking. Tbf, a full refund was not quibbled about.

In reply to Post #6 I use Weston qd replacement spool caps with carbon washers, perfect. I also replaced the line clips which are sold on Ebay by southern custom reels.....shocking....returned them the following day and got full refund.

In reply to Post #2 Daiwa Emblem blacks
The kits I've seen on ebay do what you do or just replace the existing washers with carbon ones so the drag tightens up a lot quicker

In reply to Post #1 Don’t know what reels you have but a good few weeks ago I done my Fox 10000FD Reels because of the amount of turns
I removed the small plastic cap that housed the spring and a washer in the drag knob, I replaced the spring with a few washers that I got from B&Q until level as per spring
Works an absolute treat

Has anyone done their own QD conversions using the washers or kits that are available on the likes of ebay
Particularly looking at the sets of carbontex washers to replace the original ones
Cheers
