In reply to Post #5 Sika 291 is a fantastic sealant, I did my micro cat with it.
I suspect I’ll have issues getting it apart in the future though.

In reply to Post #1 I'm in a similar positions myself and although I don't need to split the boat there is a little bit that needs reselaling next to the hopper door.
I have done a bit of research and have concluded you need marine silicon sealer as normal stuff won't be as good being totally submerged in water.... I'm not experts by any stretch on this subject and only recently bought the boat of here 2nd hand, but it makes sense to me to use a product designed for marine rather than a diy silicone.
I'm looking at getting the sikaflex 291i for mine, but I've got loads of time to do some research first....
