DNA were in the same hotel as us at the last Northern Angling Show. On the Sunday morning I happened to be standing in the queue for breakfast with Iain. He was his usual chatty self, asking how Sat had been, laughing and joking and smiling like he always seems to be. I was staggered when I heard his podcast and he said he’d been for scans the day before. From his attitude that Sunday morning you’d have thought he didn’t have a care in the world. I hope I never find myself in his situation, but if I do I hope I can handle it with even half the humility he has. An absolute class act. His family must be heart broken but so very proud also.

Only speaking to him a few weeks ago in carp scene, you’d never guess he was as ill as he was, few weeks later getting moved into palliative care, sucks really does.
