Well yesterday was like xmas day when i was a kid .....finally went fishing ....i was the only human being on a 475 acre lake ...it was fantastic just sitting there in the wilderness for the 1st time since the 19th of march and i loved every minute watching the wildlife ....as for the fishing ...i blanked but it was the best blank i have ever had ....even stopped at my local for a couple on the way home and my mates couldn't understand why i was smiling like a cheshire cat considering i had blanked ....if your not a fisherman i guess they don't get it

In reply to Post #28 Well good luck, the chances are that everything will be shut down again in the near future! Vaccine or similar treatment is the only answer, but if we get the opportunity to fish or in my case to play golf as well, letīs take it, safer than shopping at a supermarket!

Lockdown Day 53
for us now we do seem to have a light at the end of the tunnel ...looks like i will be able to go to the bar on the 11th may and social distance drink ..luckily my locals have big outdoor areas ...it will be full on party season for a couple of days untill the novelty wears off abit like when we were 1st allowed out for exercise ..never seen soo many people out couple of days later and we are back to sort of normal
and it does indeed look like we will be allowed to go fishing but they have not specified if only local ? or regional ?
even if they go for the regional i am really going to struggle as we have had soo much rain this winter most lakes in my region are unfishable due to high water levels ....which realistically leaves only 1 lake with 16 swims which will be rammed but i wll try my hardest to get a swim ...the other crap thing at the moment is mossie's again because of the rain we had all through winter / spring we have a bad outbreak of them it feels like plaugue proportions i have had more bites in 3 days than in the last 3yrs ...the tiger mozzies are biting me straight through my Incognito spray this year !!!!

Went out for the first time in 16 days on Monday, had to pick some meds up for my wife and I and needed some fresh veg etc.
Entered the details on the certificate to travel on my phone, just in case I got pulled, wore my mask and surgical gloves. Got to the chemist and a woman was inside by the doors, wearing the full kit also, waited until another person came out then went in. Two staff wearing the full kit, dealing with two customers with full kit, got my ticket for next turn and waited, other customers coming getting a ticket and waiting outside. After I got my purchase left the shop and about 8 customers waiting outside.
Next stop the supermarket, sanitiser gel dispensers just inside with a store security pointing you to polythene gloves to put on, I wore mine over the surgical gloves. Most customers wearing masks, all had the polythene gloves on. The only dickheads were two different customers that brushed right past me while I was selecting some olives, and by the breakfast cereals, they didn't like it when I raised my hands and gave em the look. Most other customers like me waited until no one was near before selecting something off the shelf.
I sanitised my surgical gloves after putting the shopping trolley back and threw the polythene gloves in the bin.
I wasn't stopped by the police or Guardia Civil but one of their cars was parked outside empty.

In reply to Post #21 That would have been 8 cans and it's not an item that's controlled. Thank God.

In reply to Post #18 I just queued for 30 minutes to get into Morrison's for shopping for my mum. Whilst in the queue I saw a guy come out with 4 cans of Stella, and sod all else. Sometimes I really do despair.

In reply to Post #14 Another 15 days here also, police where checking shopping trollies when leaving the supermarket on Saturday to see what you had been buying, luckily l had a baguette with my 6 tins of Guinness. Everything still seems to be in supply, some things are missing, namely pasta.
Life go's on, good luck & keep safe.
