The axa policy does cover fishing as a listed sport.

I'm thinking more of cover just for normal mishaps like injury whilst fishing and things specifically fishing related, would AXA cover you for that if you don't specify your going on a fishing holiday?. Confused as I've seen companies selling insurance just for sports holidays and they kind of imply that normal travel insurance may not cover you properly.

I looked at a few. Axa seems like a better more comprehensive one but would they pay out if your affected ? Only time will tell.

3rd april is the end of the Italian restrictions so unless its extended you might be ok.

If you obtained good insurance before the restrictions you might be covered if your affected, you need to look at the small print.

Corona virus aside who do people get their travel insurance with? Normal companies or angling specific?

FCO has advised against all but essential travel to Northern Italy. Looks like my Parco trip mid April is a gonna then unless they lift the restrictions after the 1st week of April.

No but at the point there are FCO non travel instructions it will be classed as such and that's when the customers will be cancelling and looking to make a claim.

Couldn't agree more. This thread has gone so far off topic and is a classic example of why people are using the Forum less and less

This has gone so far off topic with a lot of axe grinding.
Start a new thread slanging off lake owners and let this get back to factual info on the effects of covid 19 and travel
