If you can find one a fox warrior S Spod rod - mines taken loss of abuse and around £50 or less second hand.

Wychwood Dispatch would be up to the job, under £50 I believe.

The Sonik spod and marker hybrid is good value for the money, you can pick them up with a fully loaded reel for around £55. this would suit your requirements well.

Can anyone recommend a decent cheap spod rod please. Its for barbel fishing on the trent so not required to cast any real distances. Its just to cast a spopper which is about 6oz fully loaded no more than 70 yards.
Cheers.
