Gave them a call and it sounds a bit vague tbh..Turn up to fish the day and if they think you'r ok nights are possible at £22. Too much of a gamble for us .Dont want to arrive fully fully loaded for the night only to be told 'sorry lads'... On the other hand for days..... sounds ok

Don’t book either of the small lakes, I’ve seen bigger back garden ponds

I personally wouldn't. It generally attracts the worse type of angler

Been a long time since I fished there. Wouldn't head back there in a hurry.
It may have changed but we had to fit in where we could and literally setup on top of each other.

What about Berners Hall ? 1 1/2hrs from Bedford 1hr+ from Ipswich

Hi.'Rex. Thorpe Lea is a tad too far for him tbh..Knowing A12/M25 corridor its a bit iffy. He was fishing Walthamstow on and off a few years back and that was an easier run but still 2hrs .. Swangey...I have mentioned. some of the lads I knew when I lived in the Ipswich area ( 15yrs +) were fishing it this time of year and doing ok. From what I can gather its been cleaned up and sorted out a fair bit.. Used to have a bit of a rat issue though? . For him its an easy run..A14/A140 then Attlebr'o bout an hr and a quarter.

Swangy main lake. Might be worth a look..it’s a long time since I used to go there and it’s changed hands I think, it’s on face ache I believe.

In all the times I fished it, I literally never blanked.

I’ve not fished it but been told it’s fairly easy and mainly upper teens - mid twenty’s, Ashlyns farm near north weald just off the m11 Not sure of distance but can’t imagine it’s too far of your distance. Not much about it on the web so call the farm shop to get the lowdown

A few bloke on my syndicate go there for a social and a bend in the rods

Hi...Bit of a big ask but..looking for decent runs type water Early March Catching up with a mate for a bit of a social and try and get a fish or two.. He's Ipswich based..Im Bedford area, so ideally halfway (ish) Already have Stanwicks on the list. Any pointers appreciated. An hr and a halfs driving for either of us would be ok.
