And that illustrates my problem with the figures coming out as Covid19 is a notifiable disease if you have it when you die you go down on the count for that day irrespective of whether it actually contributed to you dying or not.

Hi Jon,

My thinking you were a labour supporter was also assumed on your leftist view on Brexit and your abusive posts to anyone who opposed it, like when you called me a lunatic or something similar. If you remember, I refused to debate you because all you replied with was insults.
I can see you're not stupid, so you have no excuse for that behaviour.
Anyway I apologised for my false assumption and for you to equate a reasonable mistake as being akin to viewing the world in black and white is insulting and disengenuous, and you know it, because I'm not stupid either.
As far as the rules of the lockdown are concerned, they have been repeated like a mantra on TV at every opportunity and the police know full well the powers afforded them to enforce it and have made arrests when necessary. You're trying to spin a confusion that doesn't exist and you well know it.

Trump is sombody that got his money from is farther and as for a business man he has lost hundreds of millions of pounds.
So what the BJ went to Oxford that means nothing he has cocked up ever position that he has been in. This is a man that is happy to unveil a statue of a Nazi sympathiser during a general election but craps himself when asked to do a tough interview.
Now I try not to say to much about politics as I know that it can get heated but when it comes to what is happening right at this moment in time this man and the Conservative's are the ones to blame for the needless loss of life to people. Not only the general public but people that are doing a job to save us and to provide for us.
As soon as people can just accept responsibility and stop trying to deflect blame and play party politics then things can be done to stop something like this happening again because for many it's already to late this time around.

Sorry if I sound angry but the fact is I am. I am angry that people made a discussion to play Russian rollette with not only my life but with my friends and families

Not all Tori's are bad

Tori Amos is great. Under the Pink, 1994. Fantastic album. And it's got a big picture on the front of the lp sleeve.

Just saying

'all Tories are bad' - political bias.

'the govt did something wrong' - not political bias.

I don't really see how you can complain about people seeing things as black and white when you yourself immediately assumed I was a Corbyn supporter based solely on my criticism of the actions of the current government.

Well or sick, Boris Johnson is unreliable, lazy, and a proven liar. This would still be true if he defected to the lib Dems tomorrow.

Rishi Sunak would do a much better job.

The police are trying to enforce 'advice', if Easter is sunny, they'll be pulling their hair out ... Yet where is the home secretary to tell people exactly what they can and can't do? Who exactly is in charge? Could they implement stricter measures even if they wanted to? Don't tell me, it's complicated ... See the bigger picture...

Yes but Covid 19can bring on both in so if they had it that's why it's recorded that way. The question is did they die of it or did they die with it

Hi Jon,

That story is significant in regard to the many European countries that are struggling to overcome the virus.
Most of which are making available many £ billions to support their businesses and workers.
I think it's scandalous that the EU refused to fund Prof Ferrari's initiative to help in the research, based on the diktat that research has to be initiated from the bottom up.

Re the story of the vote against pay rises for medics, you say less than 3 years ago, I can honestly say that I have no clear recollection of it, even though my daughter is a nurse. I presume it was part of a pay review on public sector workers, but apart from that I'm not in a position to comment, unless I research back into it.

I would have thought that you would have understood the point I have been trying to make, and not with a political bias. My point has been that most issues are not like a the Sun headline where you are either a hero or a villain. Most issues are multi faceted and involve a bit of in depth scrutiny to get to a reasonable opinion of them. I try and judge issues on their merit without blind bias. You remember, I criticized the government on their policy of cherry picking foreign medics.
Many like their opinions in neat soundbites of black or white, when in reality, the world is mostly grey.
Mal worded it as trying to look at the big picture.

Hi BB

I know you find it hard to take when someone criticizes your great leader ,

reasoned objective , knee jerk ideology , behave ! Reuters , as you said , you don't research ! it's beginning to show !

Please , give me the reasons to believe in Boris or Trump regarding this corona virus !

If you have the backing of the establishment and press , anything is possible ! Trump and Johnson are the proof !

Hi Spanker,

I give up.

Just when you seem to start showing some reasoned objectivity, you revert back to knee jerk ideology.

Nobody gets to be leader of major western democracies if they're buffoons.
Trump was a billionaire businessman and Johnson was a classics graduate at Oxford.

BB, you've left the EU, get over it.

No-one is interested in the story, and you only posted it in a weak attempt to deflect from the fact that every Tory MP bar one voted against giving nurses a payrise less than 3 years ago. These are the people making life and death decisions which impact on your lives now and in the near future.

You may subscribe to 'thou shall not question the Tory party under any circumstances'. Most don't.

Just a heads up , this is nicked of a scientific researchers group ,also mentioned on the news tonight travelling distances of up to 10 m , which led me to do the search !

"Given what we know so far about this virus, 6 feet is OK if it's not crowded. But if you are in a room or somewhere where there is a person every 6 feet, then you could have enough virus in the air that I would be concerned," says Marr.

Something like that might have happened when a choral group in Washington state got together to sing, and ended up with dozens of cases of COVID-19 despite the fact that members of the group were careful not to touch each other or stand close.

"The simplest explanation is that it was being transmitted through the air," she says, noting that people should ventilate buildings and that concentrations of particles are less likely to build up outdoors.

She personally likes to stay 10 feet away from people, and is thinking of wearing some kind of mask for trips to the grocery store.

Hi Ocelot,

You've only posted a small part of the BBC report.
The rest of it repeats what I posted more or less word for word.
Didn't you read all of it then?
The main point that the EU commission couldn't deny, was that they refused to use their Ä2 billion per annum Scientific research fund to finance a coordinated group of top scientists to tackle the virus.
