Hi Mal,

Lucky for whom do you think? Her or us?

It cost her home country a lot of money to train the admirable Ms. Pitarma.
Don't you think she should be serving her community there?
We have 1000s of young women who would like to become nurses.
Don't you think we should be training our own?

BB.

So Boris makes a point of thanking two specific nurses for his NHS treatment

One of them is a Portuguese nurse named Luis Pitarma. Luckily Luis was employed as a nurse here before Brexit eh...?

Some people should hang their heads in shame with their behaviour, all I have done is stick to guidelines and help out my neighbours.I had to tell a guy at sainsburys a few weeks back to calm himself down,he was being abusive to the lady controlling the people going in and out of the store. She was just doing her job and did not deserve to be sworn at

Similar things Iíve heard. Hospitals here are overly quiet due to the mass cancellations and sending people home as quick as they can. Albeit not ITU but still. Weíve had a mass morgue built near us, 1,100 spaces additional to that already available in the county. The fear and scaremongering going on is ludicrous. People seem to think those 1100 people are already dead. The council said quite clearly its for IF its needed not WHEN.
Way I see it is they have to prepare for worst case scenario as if they didnít and weíre caught short, again, there would be more criticism than if they prepare and donít use it.

I think many people will come out of this with less friends or less respect from others due to their behaviour through all of this. Iíve seen and heard first hand some awful things being done to key workers and normal people alike. Checkout lady the other day told me sheíd been screamed at and physically assualted by a shopper because they wanted her hand sanitiser. They reported her to head office as apparently they customer is always right and needed it more than herí. Funnily enough the lady had bought her own in from home and it wasnít even from the store!!
And thereís people moaning about where others are walking or sitting or having a bbq or doing home improvements.

itís making normal people act in some very strange ways nowadays and anxiety is going through the roof for some people! Most of which have more chance of winning the lottery than dying from this virus!

Wayne you ****ing halfwit, I personally know three people who have lost parents to Covid19, one of whom saw his 54 year old brother die too, and I have two friends recovering from pneumonia at home without being tested. I don't know anyone who has won more than a tenner on the lottery.

Missus was having a blood test in a big south London hospital yesterday. The nurse said her husband had tested positive, she hasnít had it but obviously living together and their childcare were grandparents, one with a respiratory issue
A lot more cases here than your neck of the woods I imagine though
