So theyíre encouraging construction workers to go to work even though they were never told to stop, but if you do domestic work you still canít go into peopleís homes. And what about the social Ďbubblesí which people will rely on for childcare to go to work with schools and nurseries closed?
Clear as mud then

Did you watch it on the bank Wayne

well you're doing better than me mate

I've been alert all afternoon and I can tell you that there have been no changes at all in my living room (apart from some movement from the goldfish).

Just been out adopting the strategy of "staying alert " i saw a suspicious door handle which i cunningly avoided by waiting for someone else to open ,so i could enter the shop , however i could sense a ninja style attack from the rear via polluted air so i legged it , whilst taking huge strides to avoid standing on and transmitting the virus ! whilst humming the bee gees "staying alive " to make sure there are no lapses in my "alertness "

Dominic Cummings , is he old enough to have been the scriptwriter for the Monty python sketches ! Wayne ?

Or as they have drummed into us for months now "flatten the line or curve " which i'm sure everyone understands the significance of now !

But even then they will twist, sorry interpret, in a way favourable to their point.

But even then they will still use linear cumulative graphs that will always show an increasing line until there is nothing left to add and then it will show a horizontal line but never go down!

Thatís exactly what I thought. Realistically the press should be banned from reporting any figures unless they can be presented accurately and fairly, maybe a 7 day breakdown.. would give them time to get their facts straight for once

Itís a weekend stat and as usual lower than week days. Tomorrowís will be low as well but watch Tuesday as it ramps up again. Just in time for the press to show any release of restrictions has lead to another spike. 😡

I like how the daily death toll has suddenly been reported in the 200s by the press just in time for easing of lockdown measures..... convenient

The message about work was always work from home 'if you can' so there's no change needed there really. Still makes good sense to me.

I think you're right about decisions being financially driven rather than health. you'd hope they would just be honest and say that but honesty is still shorter in supply than good standard Turkish PPE it seems..

also agree about protecting the most vulnerable - that includes frontline staff who don't have the luxury of staying at home.

I'm sure we will see a rise in cases if restrictions are eased - Germany has seen that and they have handled this way better than our lot. So has Spain.

60% furlough will see people wanting to go back to work - but businesses won't be in a position to go back to 100% pay and full capacity so expect a backlash there - maybe even redundancies (although that goes against the principle of furlough so another mess to sort out)

I expect more distancing by the Government in the coming days and weeks to allow an unofficial "relaxation" of the Lock down.
Im not surprised the "Stay at Home" message has changed as they need people to get back to work if they can't work from home.
The free money is running out, and the economy is tanking.
I've also noticed how messages are now coming out again on how we have to learn to live with the virus.
It's all in preparation for the withdrawal of the free money.
A cure still seems to be a long way off, if ever?
So we do have to live and work the best we can in the meantime, i agree with that.
The extremely vulnerable should still be given extra consideration, and i believe they will be granted that by Government, and rightly so.
80% wages will soon become 60% and people will have no choice than to go back to work out of necessity, and then we will see if the blanket lock down really was necessary in the first place.

And so it starts mights, cans and could be 😡 letís relax everything, no change to current rules or letís open up garden centres 😷 wait until 7 PM and letís see what is said by Boris.

But waiting until 7 doesnít sell papers, fill websites or allow political commentators to fill their programmes.

Stay calm and drink tea or your beverage of choice its 6 hours away 😷😷😷

I hope with the change of weather today people stay home, itís funny I donít see anyone else needing to use their exercise hour when the weather is less than glorious 👍🏻
