Hi Dave, ye we're both good thanks.
I booked direct with the lake, I've tried all routes to contact the lake owner, also emailed carp-france to see if they have a contact.

Hi Neil, hope you and Dave are keeping well, did you book direct or through their agent i.e. carp-france.com? Either way the booking agent should know the status ofthe venue, hope all turns out ok for you.

Has anyone been here lately, any news or ideally a contact?
Due out in 2 weeks, have tried to email to order bait but keep getting a bounce back, and not replying to messages.

Thank you for the additional info... did you guys have many out while you were there? If so what tactics seemed to work best? And yeah the strait shank hook rule is a bit unusual.

When we went the majority of the fish were in the out of bounds area behind the island although I understand this is now being removed as per previous post. As also mentioned he is very keen for you to use his bait. Lots of rules which are enforced. You never read a bad review on websites, not good for business !

I was also looking at booking on here for august/September time. Has any one else got any details they could share? Looking at the catch reports (on there website) they all seem great. Every single one is 5 stars with what seems to be around 1 fish per day, per angler. Can anyone back this up? Or share there own not so great experiences?

Fished it last June, it was tough going. The owner had damned off the top quarter/third of the lake to assist in the removal of an island. We reckon this prevented the fish from using their normal patrol routes and spawning area which led to them all being holed up in the big lily bed at the far end of the lake.

The week before us had two or three fish out in total. I had three to 37, my son had one of 30+ and the other spawny so and so gratefully accepted my swim for the last couple of nights and took a 48 common.

It's a very English sort of lake but stocked with some big fish but, if they tuck into one area it's a hard week for all but one of you.

Of course, he may have sorted the island and damn - ask him before you book.

He will advocate filling it in with his own bait, I would suggest you start a little slowly and build if necessary

We only had the breakfast roles which were pretty good.

Hope this helps.

Ps, they won't tell us where it is until we book?

Standard policy with most so if you don't book why would you want to know where it is, Rennes is the general location given so an easy drive from St Malo bit further from Caen and further still from Le Harve but all easy drives.

This venue looks good, but we can't find anything on any forums except their own one..
Has anyone been there?
