I eat pretty well at home and generally only fish up to two nights at a time. I think it's nice to have something a bit different on the bank and tinned stuff as long as it's not basically dog food is good with me.
I would definitely give that pie a go

In reply to Post #60 Makes no difference how long you are there. Feel good, fish good, its that simple. Not to mention just how bad some of the processed crap mentioned tastes...

It's a night or two on the bank, a week at most not selection training for the Regiment.

In reply to Post #58 I'm there to fish too. Food is fuel, better food makes you feel better, therefore you fish better

I admit to eating crap food on the bank because I have to prepare it or Deliveroo brings it to me, I have the ass and tits like Nigela but not her cooking prowess, the Fudgemonkey Toaster was a game changer as it meant I could slowly warm a Ginsters through on the bank. I'm there to fish not worried about trying to achieve Mitchelin star award winning dishes.
Some ought to worry more about the **** coming out of their mouths than what they put in it.

In reply to Post #50 I’m luckily enough to have a diet dictated by taste rather than slimming world.
Of course they’re real potatoes, as I said nutritionally they’re fine and as a means to bulk out a meal on the cheap serve a purpose.
You wouldn’t want them to arrive on your plate in a restaurant next to a nice piece of meat or fish would you? and if you like fresh or organic produce they wouldn’t be the first choice of carbohydrate.
We eat rice and lentils much more than potato, I do the cooking and don’t want to have to carry any fat ****s in case of an emergency so adjust their diets accordingly, I suppose in our house I AM slimming world

In reply to Post #47 Very rarely get to fish for a week gerry, but the last week I did manage a week I had a spag bol, beef with mash veg and gravy, chicken skewers with salad and rice, lamb curry, a pasta, and had a couple of bbq's with various meats, fish and salad. All dead simple, tasty and full off goodness.
No need to be pedantic either gerry, taking my comment a tad literally there weren't you?

In reply to Post #50 I really like tinned spuds on the bank. Genuinely can’t see what is wrong with them.
