Smart Alarms do a Bivvy light and movement detector for the older TXi and RXi. Movement detector for the new digital receiver out soon.

Does anyone know if they come with the hard cases or do I need to buy them separate?

Smart Alarms have a compatible movement coming out soon. Maybe in the future Iíll upgrade but funds needed else where and Iíd hang on till Smart Alarms have the updated Bivvy light which I think is superb as it picks up every signal from the alarms when the TXI misses the old bleep.

i normally chuck my receiver on top of my bivvy or outside on a table and iíve never given it a second thought. my iphone shuts down temporarily if i do this but the technology is somewhat more sophisticated. if other alarm manufacturers donít issue such warnings why have Delkim had to?

Common sense really, as said below if you leave a phone in direct sunlight and itís hot it will shutdown. No doubt the issues occurred when people are in France etc and temperatures are a lot warmer

Cheers for all the feedback, I think they will be a good fit especially for my perching etc as well. The roller wheels just arenít as sensitive for that type of fishing

ok so as long you donít leave the receiver out in the sun and the alarms out in the rain then theyíre spot on

Probably an overheating issue due to the fact the receiver is constantly working to relay the signal yet the alarms arenít. They only trigger when the line moves. Sounds the most plausible reason. Iíve only heard of that one incident with the receiver but delkim put out a Facebook post so Iím assuming it happened more than once. Common sense to not leave it in direct sunlight all day though. More user error than product failing imo. I wouldnít leave my iPhone 11 out in the sun all day and expect it to work then blame apple for a faulty product.

I'm sure it was spod on here who mentioned the receiver issue. It does seem odd if alarms can cope with sunlight but receiver can't.

True. Didnt even consider the alarms themselves. Was more thinking about stuff like phones and the receiver that can be left out of the sun. There must have either been a fault with that particular receiver, or the alarm heads are designed to be sat in the sun
