In reply to Post #18 I’ve used it as a powder sprinkled over glugged boilies. It gives them a sticky green coating. Beware your hands being stained though!!

In reply to Post #17 Just found a big bag of this at home that's my wife puts in her health drinks and stuff.
How do you guys use it? Could I add it to a pva bag? Sprinkle a heap of it on some hemp, before spombing it out?
(Ps she said I could use it, so no chance of a rollicking when she realizes it's gone)

different type of blue green algae so who knows! I doubt it would be less effective but then if you put a different type of grass in a field and tell the cow to go eat...

In reply to Post #11 Spirulina 60%, human food grade
A superfood and bait coloring (dark) ingredient. A blue-green micro algae commonly called Spirulina which grows naturally in lakes and waterways. It supports and feeds many natural organisms within inland waters thus improving the food population of any water where it is present. Spirulina is extremely rich in the antioxidant Beta Carotene which enables carp and fish in general to effectively fight diseases and biological challenges, allowing weight gains to be maximised. It is the highest naturally occurring protein food that contains all the essential amino acids and most of the non-essential ones. Also very rich in minerals (Iron), Vitamins (B12), GLA and trace elements. This is why carp / fish see waterplants as a major food source, interesting to use also in wintertime.
It has a protein content of minimal 60% which is very easy digestible, around 90% of it being totally digestible by carp.
Product character: dark blue-green powder, characteristic algae aroma
Specifications: Protein 60% min

Interesting to see this stuff is basically blue green algae, if a lake suffers with blue green algal blooms in summer, would that make it more or less effective🤔

In reply to Post #3 Already done it for you. Works very well for tiny little fishies. They don't think it's bitter at all.

It's good stuff. I used it a fair bit before it became more carpy to use Kelp/Seaweed products and I got side tracked away from it. Got back on it a few years back thanks to a convo I had with Bill.

In reply to Post #2 I've used it too, excellent stuff. Not the only powder they're selling that is good in a bait either. Although I suppose I'll have to tank test them to prove it.
