I know that the original posts are 2 years old or more, but Trakker had a reputation for rebranding cheaper items and increasing the price.
The WebTex Warrior Field stove which cost about £15 Trakker were selling for £25-30.
Plain, basic, no preheat, but not bad.
The Bulin T4 which can be got for around the same Trakker were selling for around £50.
I have been through a few stoves over the years and the Bulin is my current go to. Its light, folds and packs away nicely, fitting easily in my rucksack. Mine is a few years old, and has worked down to minus 4⁰C which is the lowest temperature I have done overnighter trips with it.
As Gerry says, when it's cold turn the canister upside down and it will gravity feed, although as I've said on another thread, different makes of gas canister work better than others, with Coleman 70/30 being the worst for gas pressure. Far better to use GoSystem, Primus or SunnGas.

In reply to Post #76 I didn’t know that Gerry, thank you I’ll give it a whirl 👍

In reply to Post #75 no real NEED to switch to a coleman ?
as with Primus stoves you simply turn the gas tin upside down and it gravity feeds on the liquid that then vaporizes in the pre heat tube on the stove runs like its mid summer

In reply to Post #74 Had 2 bulins both didn’t last a season , go for anything by primus you won’t regret it best gas stoves by a mile imo I’ve got the easy fuel and it’s head and shoulders above the bulins , I do switch to a Coleman when it’s proper cold though 🔥🔥

In reply to Post #72 well if your serious about spending a bit ? just £67 50 inc delivery
would get you a top quality stove that will probably last easily 20 plus years
the Primus Gravity 3 The Gravity EF comes with a windscreen, heat reflector, and nylon stuff sack.
they just never go wrong and work flawlessly or you could just buy a Bulin every 2 or 3 years that in the end would cost you a lot more LINK BELOW ITS PLUS VAT

Got myself a couple of Bulin T4's for the winter.

In reply to Post #67 My bulin has seen better days so looking for a similar replacement. took it apart last summer which gave it some additional life.
was looking for a better quality alternative, don't mind spending a bit, but have used that style for many years, does the primus run on the silver butane/propane welders gas cylinders? Any other alternatives or should i just pay my £20 again and go for another bulin?
|
|
|
In reply to Post #70 Yes. Which is why you dont use 100% butane in winter.
|
|
|
In reply to Post #69 CLEARLY he has not used it in sub zero temps as butane does NOT vaporize ( turn from liquid to gas ) in temps below -2
thats why stoves like Bulin with a pre heat tube work so well in sub zero temps
and no Im not mad but think maybe you are
and you are assuming quite a lot of things all wrong of course

In reply to Post #65 Rob ??? one min your slagging off a Bulin then your advocating a proper bit of ***** stove that does not even have a pre heat tube so will be useless in frosty weather
? if you want a really decent quality stove you need to spend the money
like a Primus Gravity stove I have the original one its over 25 years old still works like new LINKY POO
Not meaning to be rude but you do need to live in the real world 90% of tackle is made in China these days
