In reply to Post #203 I'm sure you know that normally the lake is shut for one of those weeks anyway for liming and removing all the furniture anglers leave screwed into trees or left poking above the waterline, with the kind of year it's been I don't blame Pascal for shutting the lake it's a little more respite for the family, also the amount of rain has made a mess of the track high waters have left certain swims in a mess or unfishable and with more rain forecast as they have said is due will hopefully allow the lake and its surroundings to reset a bit as well as some rest for the fish

The current post from Paul/Pascal
To Attention for English Angler, Monday 18 January.
Dear Anglers,
For me and my family is one very difficult decision.
The protocol for you come in France with the problem of covid is very complicate.
I decide to stop, today 18 January your reservation momentarily for this period.
Take care for you, family and friends in England.
Many thanks again for your understanding.
See you in the better time.
Kindest regards.
Pascal
I would say that's fair enough as its only temporary and lets be honest why would anyone risk travel to fish in France at the moment when your supposed to be staying local to home.

In reply to Post #198 UK anglers along with all other non French residents have been banned from travelling from the UK since the 20th of December.
Before that there was a ban on non essential travel within France from October 30th to December 15th (second lockdown) which is why French venues closed early.
So other than for a 5 day period British anglers have been essentially banned since the end of October.
