Na it was just up from the mothercare where the river splits in 2 in the really weedy bit just before the lock only problem with that stretch is all the homeless camped along the river.

Golf course where I seen the spooked carp mainly, see them dashing off from the margins. Never been up to hoe mill or chelmsford part yet, a little bit to far away! Have to go on a walk next time I'm down, see if I see any about from the basin to beeleigh! Think I need to get some stalking rods too try some untamed areas if there accessible. Be nice to see a 20 + feeding, was that by the Burger King part? 👍🏻

Not been down that far yet, will have to give it a try.
Local anglers tend to say further up because, a lot more salty water that far down. I know the carp/fresh water fish Probably wash of parasites ect in the heavier mixed water tho. Seen a few people going down that way to pre bait up as well could be promising. Thanks for the info 😊

Golf course stretch theres quite a few decent ones, seen pictures of a lump from the basin where the boats are, hoe mill lock has some good ones, not been down the tesco stretch but had a walk in chelmsford town centre a few weeks back and was feeding a good upper 20. There's plenty in there just got to find them and feed them then there easy to catch

What about the bottom end of the Chelmer & Blackwater Nav Canal?

Some friends and I stayed in Heybridge Basin for a couple nights last year and I fished the Canal each morning for a couple hours, about hundred yards up from the sea lock. Appeared to be plenty of carp in there; I was snapped off a couple of times when float fishing for tench and bream, saw a couple too, right in the edges.

Yeah, been down there a few times. Beeleigh abby and golf course stretch haven't had any carp seen a few spooked. Would be nice to have a river/canal carp! Loads of silver stuff tho mainly rudd, a few perch maybe just me and my tactics. Have to do a week of pre baiting. Be down there again in a couple weeks, Tesco stretch supposed to be alright I believe! Thanks for the info mate ty very much

Hi everyone, hope your doing well.
My Mrs lives up in heybridge, I'm up there much of the time, got her into to fishing, so onto a winner 😊👌🏻 fished chigboro a few times, only ever had a few runs, none to the bank tho 😓😥 had tench, bream, Rudd and a 9lb pike! 25 pound a night too probably spent as much as, both our membership for Maldon angling society! 🤣 is anyone a member by any chance or, have any info about the lakes and is it worth it? Or is there any sort of cheap syndicates about heybridge/maldon area worth looking at?
Thanks in advance for any info and help
