In reply to Post #65 It was mainly ****, see for yourself, I stopped watching after a bit but I think it just ended up with Jamie and Frank Warrick in their cups talking bowlocks, earlier had Rob Hughes, Julian Cundiff and Mark Holmes on
Carp Cast Live

In reply to Post #62 No, I don’t have any social media so must have missed it. How did they do it and how was it?
In reply to Post #62 I've give up on the carp cast, jamie must be skint and need to advertise something if theres another episode, baitworks and the korda podcasts are on another level.
In reply to Post #60 Interesting post. Do you think if podcasters made their captures public you would be more inclined to listen?
Provided they were inspiring, noteworthy captures of course.
Genuinely interested
In reply to Post #61 Did you see the live Carp Cast last week?
I wasn’t that into the Spodcast, but have enjoyed the lockdown ones and the broader range of guests. It’s improved since Dom gives a bit away about himself rather than just nodding along. (I’m picturing him nodding anyway)
I agree that the Korda and Baitworks are the ones I most enjoy now. Have to say the Carpcast still holds up well considering how many years earlier it came out, still holding out hope that they will start up again. Jamie could be a bit cringey, but at least he had been around the block and caught a few special fish to validate his opinions and advice.
In reply to Post #1 With the lockdown I have found myself listening to or watching most, if not all, of the current podcasts.
I say listen to .... I have not made it 5 minutes into most.
Generally unqualified uninteresting people talking to uninteresting people.
But the Korda podcast I think is generally brilliant. Watching on you tube or listening to, either is great.
I had to stop listening to the Spodcast, maybe it's changed now but every episode just seemed to be some sales rep I'd never heard of fishing Linch Hill , the Baitworks and Korda ones are the best at the mo IMO
Quite like Carp Radio as well
In reply to Post #53 Agree. The Tom Stokes ones are excellent.
In reply to Post #56 Agreed re Dom/The Spodcast. He’s working bloody hard at doing that.
He has just started a Patreon (donation) account.
Might be nice if we all bung him a couple of quid for all that entertainment
Fair play to Dom with the Spodcast, he has put out loads of good content since the lockdown. Anyone listened to the latest one with Macaulay? What a kid, he has more fishing stories at 22 than most will ever have in a lifetime
as anyone listened to/watched the Simon Scott Korda one that they've just released? May be ignorance on my part but I probably learnt more about carp in the first 20 minutes than I have in a long while.
In reply to Post #53 His best one yet as he got somebody with something to talk about.
Check out the spod cast with Tom Stokes very good listen
In reply to Post #51 It doesn't have to be all about fishing... As it gets really boring. The Clossick Carp Casts in the end were atrocious, full of plugging for horrid commercials and plugging cheap tat. I'm no Korda fan but their podcasts are excellent, Jacko's very good indeed, and Si Hartop's was superb.
What does everyone enjoy about the various podcasts out there?
What kind of thing do you like listening to?
Anything you hate (except for product plugging)?
Apologies to hijack the thread, but I think the question would be of interest to all involved.

Happens everywhere.

There’s a new podcast out!
The Carp Angling Chronicles.
It’s by me and Pete H.T (I think that’s his username on here, not that he goes on here nowadays).
It could definitely do with improvement, we need to get better at it and I need to shut up more and realise that most people won’t get my sense of humour
We are dedicated to making it better though and have some interesting things planned for the very near future.
My favourites are the Baitworks one and The Spodcast

In reply to Post #42 Before the total ban the rules were anyone found to be intoxicated would be banned i took that to include drugs as well as alcohol.

I think it was on one of the Baitworks or may have been The Spodcast they mentioned Mostly Carp Fishing.
Going to give that a shot on the way home tonight.
Funnily enough the last one posted in December is with Julian Cundiff
In reply to Post #44 Agree Cam. I listened to one for 20 mins before turning it off.

So...Angling Podcasts....
Just to say the Nash one I listened to was the last Nash one I will be listening to. Not my cup of tea at all.
Korda's Jacko podcast was great.
Hearing how after he caught Two-Tone and just sat on the bedchair and cried...
In reply to Post #42 No mate it's not imo, having drunk many a beer and smoked many a joint over the years I can safely say alcohol is 100 times more dangerous. Either way, as some lads have said on here, ban the idiots, they are the cause of any problems
In reply to Post #30 Have they banned drug taking too?
Every lake I’ve ever fished has had members who insist on sitting in a wigwam smoking all sorts all day and night.
Surely this is just as bad!?
In reply to Post #34 And why does every lake got to smell of weed it’s a horrible smell
In reply to Post #39 Just listened to Jacko... Well done to both him and Korda for covering his problems so openly and comprehensively
Baitworks and Korda are really taking this to new levels, well produced, thought provoking content without product placement....
In reply to Post #38 No lol, we're just going off on a tangent.
In reply to Post #37 Didnt and do not listen to any Podcasts, did Lee Jackson say ban booze lol
In reply to Post #36 For sure mate, I'm with you, but that is imo a great example of poor management. What kind of a club lets it get to the point where everyone's wasted? Imo they need to sort the membership out, not ban a beer for the likes of you and me.
In reply to Post #35 I agree I like to have a couple of cans to relax when theres no action from the fish. However on one lake in particular every person I saw or spoke to had a can of beer in their hand. I'm not against having a can or two to celebrate a pb, but getting. s#@& faced every day is not fishing for me.
In reply to Post #33 I absolutely agree buddy, but I think a club with 2500 members should have the resources to police their waters. The members should be policing them anyway.
I work harder than most in my fishing and there's nothing I like more than sitting down with a cold beer at the end of the day having done whatever I can to put myself in with a chance of catching what I'm trying to catch. To have that taken away from me because some idiot was playing up would be criminal imo.
In reply to Post #32 I disagree ... that is never going to be a realistic solution ..... Alcohol ban is easy and will have an immediate affect on many people's behaviour.
In reply to Post #32 That's a lot easier on an exclusive expensive syndicate where every member is closely vetted. Not so practical in a club with 2500 members.
In reply to Post #31 Nah.
Same old story. Ban the idiots. Not what they're misusing.
An idiot will cause problems regardless of whether you ban alcohol, braid, sacks, nuts, etc etc. To eliminate the root cause you need to get rid of the idiots themselves.
In reply to Post #30 ide be happy to see that rule rolled out on every water .... might dissuade some of the morons, if not, dissuade these same morons from being so moronic!
In reply to Post #29 Couldn't agree more. Btw my club has just brought in a complete ban on alcohol.
In reply to Post #28 Fully agreed
Fair play to Jacko for talking so openly, a tough listen in places but good to hear he is in a massively better place in his life now. Long may it continue.
In reply to Post #20 I too can relate to some of the things that Lee was talking about with regards to alcohol. Made me feel a bit emotional listening to him tbh. I hope he continues to keep the fight going.
Really enjoyed this one. Loved the bit about the lake in the Colne Valley. I could almost imagine what it was like to be fishing there at that time.
Lee comes across as a spot on guy. Great work Korda!!!

In reply to Post #26 Spodcast just seems to be whatever heating engineer or plumber he can collar at Linch Hill!
Exactly why I’ve stopped listening to it
In reply to Post #25 I also listen to all of them when I'm driving. My favourites are still the earlier Carpcasts, I've listened to most of them 3 times , shame it seems to be no more.
Agree that the Korda one is very good, they have a knack. Baitworks also excellent, Mark Bryant is a very knowledgeable guy and easy to listen to. They don't push the bait company agenda at all considering it funds the show.
Spodcast just seems to be whatever heating engineer or plumber he can collar at Linch Hill! Be interested to hear some opinion on the changes going on there.
I like a bit of Jules, at least he is enthusiastic and although the record may be broken he does talk sense.

In reply to Post #24 I think the thing with Cundiff is, if you've heard one...you've heard them all !!
He's on most of the channels.
In reply to Post #23 I listen to them on my drives to and from work
Snap.
I actually think the Korda one is the best carp podcast so far, I've enjoyed all except the Cundiff one.

In reply to Post #21 Looking forward to the Lee Jackson one. I listen to them on my drives to and from work.
I use Castbox to listen to mine on Android.
My favorites are:-
Baitworks - Good content and the Simon Scott ones are mind blowing at times.
DNA - They always seem to have a good laugh on them.
Spodcast - Some good guests on there (mostly anglers I've not heard of lol).
Tried one Nash Tackle one so far...may be my last actually.
In reply to Post #21 I use the iPhone Podcast App but a few (like the Korda one) are also on Youtube.
Where are you guys getting them all from? YouTube? Spotify?
The latest Korda Podcast with Lee Jackson is well worth a listen, obviously he goes into how he caught Two Tone etc but then talks about his struggles with the demon drink which I'm sure a few on here (myself included) will identify with, fair play to him to talk about it so openly

In reply to Post #18 Maybe he got the hump Nash was going to do a podcast?
In reply to Post #11 Jamie kissed Kevin’s arse for long enough, constantly plugging his **** so I wondered what happened.
In reply to Post #16 Agree. Muzza’s style was annoying at first but now I really like it
Nash ... hmm annoying kids who can’t regularly sort out content even though it is literally their job and they have paid anglers to interview
I have recently got into the DNA one, I am warming to Mozza’a unique style
The problem with the Nash one is I can never tell who is talking as all those Essex boys sound the same
In reply to Post #4 Totally agree with you
thanks folks
As already mentioned Baitworks & SpodCast podcasts are the ones really worth listening to.
In reply to Post #10 The Carp Cast is basically just Jamie talking over whatever”guest” (victim) they have on that episode, about himself. He’s also become increasingly bitter abd nasty as it gone on. It’s a very strange affair all round.
I really enjoy the Baitworks podcast.
In reply to Post #9 They fell out badly with Nash...
In reply to Post #9 Just couldn't get on with the Carp Cast.. something just didn't sit right with me.
Baitworks & The Spod Cast are worth a listen
The carp cast was good until the constant plugging of all Nash products, the free one was also a lot better than the one I payed for.
I like the baitworks mainly then the spodcast one.
I hear that Korda are bringing one out soon too. No idea who is the the front man for it though

In reply to Post #5 Totally agree
my favourite is the baitworks, really enjoy the casual chat. between 2 mates,no egos, no products pushed down ya throat,no pleading poverty of how much it costs to do a regular podcast, no alterior motives...just great fishing chat with a wealth of knowledge.
Nash Tackle Podcast - Cringe worthy, absolute garbage in my opinion
The Spod cast - A good weekly update
The Carp Cast - The original however lost its touch a bit these days
The DNA Podcast - Very good
Mostly Carp Fishing - Yet to listen but have a few in the bank for holiday
Baitworks podcast - In my opinion the best one
In reply to Post #1 I like the DNA one
In reply to Post #1 Baitworks do a reasonable one
The spodcast
The carpcast

Can anyone recommend any angling podcasts?. Do they exist?
Looking for something a little different to the Korda/Nash type shouting matches but won't rule out any sponsored podcast of it is toned down. Can be carp fishing or coarse fishing based
Any suggestions?
