I just bought a cheapo of the bay for a fiver and does all what you’ve said without carp tax

The Saber Head Torch is a superb bit of kit for only £16.99 (at Angling Direct)
The torch is rechargeable via USB and last ages but the best part of it is you can set the light to come on using it's inbuilt motion sensor.
I put the torch on a table next to my bed and if I want the light on all I have to do is wave my hand over the torch and it comes on, no more grovelling round trying to switch your torch on!
