In reply to Post #458 You haven't got a dry cough as well have you?

In reply to Post #458 Mate if your S2's don't taste of anything there is something up with them. S2's taste lush!

In reply to Post #460 I’ve used the S2 for a while, so not new to the baits and they have been consistent. I bought the Garlics when they were released and never really gave them a chance, but I see they have a strong following on here. They have been in the sealed tub with all my other hook baits no moisture. Maybe I’ll buy another pot to compare.

In reply to Post #459 Just to add the S2 have a sweet caramel taste and a reasonably strong smell.
Have you had yours open in moisture?

In reply to Post #458 I wouldn’t be putting the garlic ones into my mouth.
It’s all I use now, I’ve found the S2’s work well with and in bags. The garlics seem better over bait.

In reply to Post #456 My CC S2's don't taste of anything, not much smell either, still not caught on them.

In reply to Post #456 I was thinking with all the talk of how revolting the smell from the fermented garlic hemp was they might kick up a bit too. Perfectly willing to accept that my nose may have no relation to what a carp senses, was just curious as to others experience.

In reply to Post #455 Mine have a very subtle but "weird" smell, couldn't begin to compare it to anything and it certainly doesn't make me want to eat them! S2 on the other hand...
They (GPB) do seem to work though

Now I know I’m not a carp, but do the garlic baits that you guys have smell/taste of anything? I bought during the rush when they were first released but never had a fish or much confidence in them. They have a very faint smell of the S2 baits and if I pop one in my mouth, pretty much nothing. S2’s on the other hand smell like caramel and taste very sweet.

In reply to Post #453 I’ve used old ones on a runs water and had runs.
I still change them daily on my syndicate buts just down to confidence I’m sure they would be fine.
I usually crush the old ones up and bag them

In reply to Post #451 Thanks Yonny.
Main reason I ask is I’ve just got the rods out after a week in the rod bag.
Both baits still on and look slightly washed out but smell is there, just wondered how effective the probiotic ingredient still is....

In reply to Post #450 I throw mine once they're reeled in but I'm happy to leave them out 48 hrs+ if appropriate.
I've reeled in after 48 hours-ish and the smell is still there, but obviously a bit washed out.
I don't doubt they'll catch if re-used, but I prefer to go fresh each time.
EDIT - must have missed that Yonny
Question for Mark then - just dry them off with kitchen roll & back in the tub?
Need to keep the rest dry right?
This won't go for my bottom baits either - no cork!

In reply to Post #449 Couple of questions on the Garlic crushed corks....
How long do you think the flavour is effective for?
Would you leave the same hook bait out for a week say?
Would you use the same hook bait over two sessions a week apart?
Be interested to see what people think....
