If doing longer sessions I think it's essential to get yourself a Martin May cooker. They seem to produce the best of bankside cuisine. They run best on beer.

I spend more time worrying about what I'm going to eat for 48hrs then anything else
Normally have a bean chilli for 1st night (make batches of it and freeze it down)
scrambled egg and smoke salmon for breakfast
decent soup for lunch
tuna fillet and salad fro evening
museli for last brekkie
sandwich later on
and more sweets then is normally good for me
Love working out what Im going to eat as much as anything else

I would never dream of going more than 24 hours without a good quality cool bag or cool box to keep in the car or in my swim
I always freeze my 2 litre bottles of water instead of ice packs keeps my food and bait safe from the heat and we all know beer and water tastes better ice cold on a hot day

A tinned curry and packet rice from Aldi or Lidl is decent and can be kept for months un-refrigerated

In reply to Post #26 Thanks lads for all the advice ended taking a couple of fresh bits and bobs for the first evening.
Thanks for the advice on the tinned food. Went to Tesco and found there own Stockwell home brand chicken curry, expected that to be crap but tried it home and it’s good. On the bank just added a packet rice and it made a cracking meal.
Bought some other tinned bits as well such as steak in gravy to have with some new potatoes, fingers crossed it’s just as good.
Josh shepz... Jesus that’s a hell of set up!

In reply to Post #1 Depends on how light I want to go,
If I want to mega light I'll live of peanuts and cashews. In winter or if I want a comfy session I'll normally go with a barbecue one night ribs or wing normally and burgers and pastys
I use to make proper posh meals but now I just cant be bothered
