Remember it well, 6/6 at Cheltenham, 1.4 million to 1 if memory serves me right, just wish Iíd done an accumulator. Got close once after 5/6 and 1 placed, but no cigar

Was given The Boom is back, ew, 6:20 newton Abbott, think the values gone now though

Sea The Stars.... What a great day that was mate. Backing one of the greatest horses ever seen... At 10-1 for the 2000.

I never backed him again after that, but he made me a fortune in that 2000 guineas.

I hope you and yours are well Strawberry

Thank you Cramthenet. Nice one Josh. There is no better money, than 'free' bookies money. Enjoy it mate. Did you see Ellie's new ballet gear?

Yesterday was a great day. I've lost four betting accounts so far this morning now. They do not like it up em. Sod em, they paid me out, eventually. They can poke their accounts... We'll just open more.

Well done Cramthenet. Sounds like you had a great Ascot. I did not punt, until today. I saved myself, for one horse. Unfortunately, I got quite a lot of stick on here last week. No desire to put up any horses after that. I also got it on other forms of social media. More of my missus being a whore.

Well, today, I had £780 on Cape Byron at 12's. And £1300 at 10's. All to win. It went off 7-2. I told Jason Rider this morning, I might lay £500 of it off, it went 5's or less... But I let it all ride. I've been backing it for a while. My friends were all on at 7's & 8's this morning.

I won over £25K today. A very good day indeed. What a shame that it never got posted on here eh.

finished the 5 days up a bit.........2 days of profit 2 days break even and 1 day complete blow out. I blame the disaster day on Friday down to the fact the ground change from quite soft to much firmer. been enjoyable still.

exactly........for example take yesterday I gave 5 tips but 1 was a non runner so 4 tips really. if you had a tenner each way on them all you laid out 80 but got 140 back so 60 profit. this is the aim of the game long term profit....try to see the bigger picture. play the long game.

yes but if the 1 that wins is a decent price you finish quids in. in the last few days I've given winners of 10-1 16-1 and 20-1. this is the long term strategy......back horses at good prices and the winnings more than cover the losses. you will never see me putting up short price favs....plenty of them get beat as well.

Jim, any more of your malarky, and I will feed your 50th celebration pop ups to the dogs.

Frankalina ran really well. Slow pace, and she made up a lot of ground to finish on the heels of the leaders. 6th of 14. The race was not run to suit those at the back unfortunately. She needed a good gallop.

I have steamed right into two today, all my money was down last night, but I was to busy to get on here till now. One of the horses, the price is long gone.

I would not back it at current prices, but it may drift a bit before the off. That horse is Spanish City in the 5.50pm at Epsom today. I backed it heavily at 7's and 13-2 last night. It's now 7-2. I would not back it at that price personally. I would want at least 5-1.

The other horse, is Pubicise in the 2.00pm at Epsom. I backed this at 11-2 & 5-1 last night. It's currently 9-2 best price. It's going to love the step up in trip. 9-2 is still a fair price. I have a lot of money on both, and lumpy win doubles as well. Proper bet today.

Good luck all.

PS. It's no shame hitting 50 for you Jim.

Well, first time we agree Cramthenet.

Oaks day at Epsom. I am on Frankellina at 25's & 16's.

14-1 is still value for the filly today. She is the one in this field, that should take a massive step forwards today. She has the talent, it's just her greenness that could be the problem at Epsom. Her performance at York when losing a lot of ground, was very good on just her second start. I'd mark her up 3l for that. On just her third start, a very big performance could be coming today. She will love the 1m4f. A lot of these will not...

14-1 is worth an e/w punt. She's still a touch of value.

Newbury 4.55 today. The Stoute horse, Alhaazm. I'd make this horse favourite here. 6-1 is a big price. Value.

The current fav, is perfect and makes the market, stepping up 4f in trip, first time out. Loads of money for him, mainly because he is the brother of a famous horse. So what.

The Stoute horse is very solid, off 77 here, he should run a very big race first time in a handicap. I'd make him a 3-1 shot. 6's is big. I hope he drifts some more! He is likely to take a big step forwards today.

Remarkable broke down. Something happened as he came out of the stalls.

I had the placepot up at Ascot yesterday for a fiver. Five out of the six winners. I won a lot of money yesterday on some of these horses, just not on Remarkable who was my main punt of the day. The placepot alone paid handsomely yesterday. 120K+ entrants for £1. Most clueless, picking colours, numbers or names. Value. Only 226 got it up, I had 5 of them.

Sorry folks that Remarkable did not do the business.

ripp orf is very solid e/w bet every time at ascot.
there was something wrong with that horse mark was on . horses are equine athletes and all they have to do is pull a muscle , tweak a ligament or strain a tendon and it's game over. defo something wrong with him today to be pulled up.

I've had a punt today.

Remarkable, 4pm Ascot 16-1. The big handicap of the day. This horse was going places for Gosden two years ago, he won a big 7f handicap over CD on his last start for Gosden. A year off (standard for the trainer), before returning for O Meara four weeks ago. He ran very well. Pivotal colt, out of a Cadeaux Genereux mare... He will love the ground. O Meara stable is in red hot form, everything is running out of its skin. I cannot see this horse out of the first 6. Off the same mark as his CD win, he should run very well.

Back it e/w at 16-1 with 6 places. That is value at that price. I'd make it a 10-1 shot in this personally.

Today, in the 1000, at 3.35. I've backed Just Wonderful at 6-1.

I've also backed Flavius Titus, 2.55 at 5-1.

Good luck any of you who have a go today. Wish I was at Newmarket, and not at work!!

Yesterday just got better and better.

Two of the biggest races of the flat season in the US & the UK. The 2000 guineas and the Kentucky Derby.... Both had big market mistakes. The Kentucky Derby last night, was a great example of a big market discrepancy. I know NOTHING about US racing. But there was a situation yesterday, where the well backed favourite in the US, Maximum Security... Was more than DOUBLE the price in the UK. Yesterday evening, this horse was 4-1 in the US and shortening... And 9-1 in the UK, everywhere...VALUE. I got £300 on in £50's, over six accounts. None of those accounts are in my name. Maximum Security won and was disqualified, I got paid out as first past the post, and got my money anyway.

I knew NOTHING about that horse.... I just know about markets, and mistakes that are made. If you are backing 4-1 shots, at 9-1... You will win lots of money in the long run. Luck will come and go, but math will override that in the long run. If you are buying houses, that are worth £500k, for £300k... You will make lots of money in the long run. It's pretty simple really. It's called mathematics.

You are welcome mate. I won more money on that horse, than I have ever won on any horse, ever before.

Today was such a great day. Voice has gone I screamed so hard through that last furlong. Nothing beats free bookie money, nothing at all. It's just the best money that there is.

That was a 5* punt that horse today. The market, was so wrong with the fav, how Magna Grecia went off at 11-2 is beyond me. It was double the price that it should have been. I just kept backing it, and they kept allowing me to as well today. Only because it was a big race. Happy days.

Live Stream 04/05/2019 6 Places

Another way you can swing things in your favour if you fancy one at a big price is to play for extra places. got 33-1 for ornate to finish top 6 which it did.

Glad someone else understand s the principle of back to lay as a way of insuring your bet. Lots of tricks available to punters to give yourself the best chance of making some profit.
2.20 wouldn't be the biggest surprise if ornate 66-1 outruns those odds.

Since I posted an hour and a half ago. The price for Power Of Darkness has collapsed. 7-2, into 9-4. That's a third nigh on it has shortened. The money has caught up with the system. I have a lot on, at 7-2, and some big win doubles the pair.

As mentioned earlier by Cramthenet... If I was a 'back to lay' punter... I'd be laying POD right now at 9-4 and 2-1 on the exchanges... For a guaranteed win, without a horse even running. I'd make a fair few quid even allowing for fees. Even more if it goes 7-4. That is not my style or game though. But it is there, if it was.

If you buy at a good price, you can sell, at a profitable price. That's life. Not just gee gees.

I struggle to get the money I want on early enough, in other peoples names at the right prices. It's hard work keeping accounts open. To be a full time pro, you'd have to give it your full attention. I would not want to do that, and never would.

2000 day.

I've had a couple of punts today. Magna Grecia in the 2000 itself. Ryan is on the wrong one IMO, which makes the market for MG. I'd make this horse a 3-1/7-2 shot. 5-1 is to big. He's been backed accordingly. He's an e/w bet to nothing at 5's. Most of these, including the fav, are not going to stay 1m today. This horse will. I've had a saver on Madhmoon in the same race at 8-1.

1.50. Power of Darkness, 7-2. Should be fav, I'd make this horse a 5-2 shot today. False favourite, who maybe well handicapped, but no run under his belt, and never run at HQ.

Good luck all today if you are having a punt. No crying if they both come last... I will not be

Exactly Blondini . Back them at high odds and lay them off at lower odds is a way of insuring your original stake.
Loch ness monster placed 3rd and was available at 25-1 most of the morning. If you got on at those odds you would have just almost quadrupled your money. if you got 18-1 you just trebled your money. Not bad I'd say.

Because I felt like it Martin, when people say basically they cant lose I find it a load of bollox if people cant lose why ar the bookies still open for business , why would people need to work , why would people be all over forums drumming up sales if the bookies cant win , doesn't make sense

backed in to 14-1 so I was able to lay it off for a profit. If you don't understand betting this will mean nothing to you.
Mark has already explained elsewhere about beating the markets. If you find horses that are overpriced and back them and then the price crashes you can then lay the bet off on the exchanges meaning basically you can't lose.

I went in M&S David. Got some new shoes from Kurt to, you think that they will suit me?

View post on imgur.com

There is corruption everywhere David. I have very strict rules about my punting, and I stick to them hard and fast. Only horses for me. Nothing else. Only on a Saturday, or big festival meetings, G1 tracks only. The corruption comes at a lower level in the main. The way the handicapping system works in the UK, means that trainers have to play the game. Knowing the 'game', means that you can see a bit more clearly what goes on.

I would never bet on athletics, never. Sometimes it costs me. During the recent world cup, I missed a big opportunity. After Portugal had played one match... Ronaldo scored, and he was odds on for the golden boot. Harry Twobobenham Kane, was shoved out to 16-1. England had not played a game. 16-1 was a stupid price, we had a very easy first phase. So I started getting as much on as possible at 16-1. And laid Ronaldo at odds on. But I bottled out, and stuck to my rules quite quickly.... No large investments on anything but horses. I should have got a lot more on. But rules are rules. Harry got two in our first game, and the rest was history. I made quite a bit, but should have made a whole lot more. Rules are rules though.

Reacting to markets, and human interpretation of those markets, can be very profitable indeed. Humans are not infallible, and mistakes get made through emotion, and overreaction.

I will be going to Tesco's tomorrow also, hopefully the charity tins will be full! Good luck, as I think I said a while back when I bet these days it is only on sports where there appears to be no corruption e.g golf and tennis, I wouldn't bet on athletics these days having listened to Paula Ratcliffe, betting on a male running in a female race, good luck to Semenya more balls than Paula!!

The only people who appreciate punters losing are the bookies, very commendable of you donating some of your winnings to good causes, not many people would do that! If the recipients are recognised registered charities you could also get tax relief on the amount of the donations! Worth a thought!!

Nicely done Cramthenet! I'm sure David was happy for you really.

I had a punt yesterday David, it was very last minute dot com at Newmarket. The horse Beringer, had a morning tissue price of 2-1. I made it a 13-8 shot. I still would not have backed it at 2-1. It drifted to 4-1 though, and was massive value in that market IMO. So I had to back it, and back it I did.

I done the same over six accounts, in three minutes. Wish that I could have got even more on, but bookies are big girls blouses really these days.

I gave £20 to a homeless man the day before, and roughly £60 in charity sponsorship to friends in the past two weeks. I tend to give, when I win or lose Bumble. I hope no one backed Dingo Dollar at Cheltenham, as I said not to, but that post was deleted.

When you do see Gary, remember to tell him that Mark said that he is a noddy pest controller, who catches small diseased fish. Tell him it was Mark who cursed him forever, for the 'Littlebrook Linear'... He already knows well enough, but I like to remind him quite regular David.

Good man and sounds like you were rewarded accordingly!! Perhaps I will become the golf tipster on here, a lot more knowledge about that than 4 legged animals these days! Hope it was good win for you, invest it wisely on the next one, we all know you can't win them all!

Reluctantly having watched the play so far on the 1st day of the Heritage, I would suggest that Ryan Palmer (currently at 33/1) might be worth a few bob e/w, 1/5 the odds 1st 6, early days yet though, he has only played 9 holes!!

Another fine tip, was it 7th out of 11 at least there will be no bookies having to register for benefits 2moro, only joking m8! I think we should adopt a system on here that when somebody provides a tip (odds have to be say 6/1 or more) to others, if the horse loses there should be a £1 or £5 fine donated to a charity by the tipster. I will bet that nobody agrees with this!

Thanks Mark for the informative reply most of which I have read! No desire in starting a slanging match, we both don't have spare time for that and what does it achieve anyway? As I said in a previous posting and a message sent to you a few weeks ago where I wished you good luck and send my regards to Gary Peet, he might remember me from the old days, I was known as Bumble! My comments have nothing to do with you not replying to my message as you have said you have a hundres messages you haven't had time or been bothered to open! Time to move on and hopefully I will get to try your baits, I grew up with people who were bait pioneers in the 60's and 70's, I won't name drop though!! Now having read the rest of your full postings and no need to respond to the comments about me and my son, what I will say though is over the years I have met a lot of people like you, with systems that are infallible, a true gambler only tells you what they have won but rarely anything about what they have lost, I met lots of them at Gamblers Anonymous meetings, really sad to see a lot of people who had lost everything. Nice well nice is not the word to use, that you have admitted to being a loser once but now with your knowledge the only way is up, I hope so m8!!

Yeah, that's what I thought.

You seem to be terribly confused, about who is following whom about and making the comments. The answer is you, just in case you did not get it yourself Bristol.

Go check your posts, try to find one where I am stalking you. You will see something different. It's you who needs to grow up, not me.

I never mentioned you once mate. You have no ulterior motives... I was very happy to stop talking about horses on that bait thread... It was not the place.

The moment I was banned for no reason... The usual suspects all showed up. Like poor Bristol below. The sad bloke follows me around on here now. He will do so, over and over, trying his best to get a bite.

It speaks volumes about him. I do hope that he has a job, and my tax is not paying for him to be on here during the day playing silly buggers. I'm working at all points, on a Mac when I am here. I somehow think that he and a few others, are likely not. Something needs to fill their time. It's me currently. How very quaint.

I'm not that miserable that I would want everyone to not talk about gambling, just as has been done make a separate thread. Because the same few people, are going to follow me about wherever Wayne... Until I leave, or get banned again for nothing.

I did not even know that this thread was here! I looked yesterday, after David's crying got it stopped being talked about elsewhere. Then he is crying here to... If you don't want to read about horses... DON'T OPEN A THREAD ABOUT HORSES. Jeez, it's not hard is it? If they hate my guts, don't read anything I write, and why are they following me about if that's the case?

People who try to preach their crap onto everyone else, are the very worst. Be that religion, reformed smokers, failed gamblers... Whatever. They should worry more about their own lives... Sit back and ask themselves, what they are really trying to achieve on a poxy carp forum. I gave up smoking four days ago, I'd smoked non stop since I was 14, I'm 45.... No preaching here, there never will be either.

David just has the ump, because I did not reply to his poxy PM. He's mentioned it five times now I think... The fact that his son has gone bankrupt twice, and he has lost a home... Shows a lot to someone like me. I would never allow my son to bet as a clueless novice, that life is not for him. His dad does that very well, he does not need to. I've never lost a home, or gone bankrupt. There are damn good reasons for this. Maybe I should bring a couple of non gambler friends here. One turned £20 into a brand new car for his missus. The other turned £100, into a family holiday to paradise. They will beg me for the information that I put on here freely.

The 'other' poster here, well he just wants to get me banned... They have even said it themselves. They are on a mission, for someone else. It's all rather funny really

Itís the most negative forum Iíve ever been on.

Let Mark give us tips and if you donít like it then go else where. He doesnít have to and some appreciate what he does.

People canít say what they like on here without someone else saying itís crap or donít use Korda or donít watch Nash there all Chavs.

Why canít people give constructive feedback or encourage people or point people i the right direction without saying there useless or give up the sport.

If we all got along and listened to others opinions it would be a better place for all.

I do alright to Jim. Thing is, other people who do not have a clue, they think that they know it all.

I can go have a drink, I'm sure you can to. An alcoholic cannot.

Gambling is the same mate. I only do well, because I understand gambling, I understand the cons. I only bet, when the odds are in my favour... Not because i think something will 'win'.

It's a completely different thing. ENTIRELY.

"I hope you don't respond as I really don't wish to continue this subject oh here, hope you give my best wishes to Gary Peet, but then I sent you a pm about that weeks ago and got no reply!"

It's you who keeps making all of the 'random' statements David. Not me. I have over 100 unread pm's... Why you need to take it so personally is beyond me.

You and your son are clueless, if you keep going bankrupt. I have some advice for you both... Stop gambling, you have a problem with it and are no good at it. Don't assume that everyone else has a problem with it... Just because you two do. And then you are advising people on it to? You are no expert David, and it's VERY clear from your ramblings that you have a problem.

I can go months on end without a bet... I do not bet sentimentally (like on my own greyhounds like yourself). You will NEVER catch me in a betting shop. EVER. Stop making assumptions about everyone else... When you do not have a clue... You are guessing, to get a response. You are a punter. I am an investor, in markets, not horses. It's a VERY different thing. The reason you go broke, is because you are chasing something. You are a gambler. I can't even get money on anything in my own name... If that does not tell you what you need to know... Well. They love you David, because you are a loser. They hate me David, for the opposite reasons.

I have lost fortunes, I'm also playing with 'their' money, and will be for a long time even if I lose... So I do not care. You are playing with your own money, that you had to earn.... So you do care... Standard. Here's one for you David. When I was ill, I lost everything. I had a plastering business, earned very good money for many years. Then lost it all. I was on benefits, very briefly, with nothing. I turned a paltry £400, into £25k in a year through 'investing'. If I had not done this, there would be no SHB.

I am not revealing anymore on this thread, or on this forum. I was only putting a couple of gee gees up, that people had actually asked me to do. It's full up with very bitter people like yourself David. I've lost count how many times you have told me that I can't run my business now, that I'm pretty much lying to. Just because I never replied to your pm LOL. Ask some of the folks on here, who are on my faceache what me and my missus have been up to since Aintree... Or ask Gary himself... SPENDING BOOKIES MONEY. Chanel, Karen Millen, the list goes on and on. Ask Gary how much cash I have in accounts, in other peoples names... Gary is one of the few who knows. Yet you, are telling everyone gambling is soooo bad... Then the next minute you won £4.5k yesterday. It's hard to work you out David. But you clearly have some issues. Don't try to compare yourself to me regarding gambling... If Gary is your pal, he will enlighten you.

Trust, the only compulsive gambler, is you David!! I'd love to sit down and play poker with you, anytime you like... You fancy it some time accountant??? Bring your son, and all of your money that you both have... I'll take you both to the cleaners, and then back again.

Never said I was a reformed gambler or did I?

Not proud to admit gambling on anything, met lots of people like Mark over the years, mostly at G.A. meetings, I actually hate all these betting adverts, but I do like the comment on some of them about bet responsibly, something that compulsive gamblers can't do!!

Good point!! I don't need to work, too old for that now!

Think we should start up a thread about betting on golf, something I know I have a lot of experience about, no inside knowledge or bull**** about knowing people with inside knowledge about form, with $1m + a week on offer to the winner, everybody is trying, I wish I get my handicap down by 15 or more!

Mark I will willingly bow out of this thread, but please do not try and tell me anything about gambling or imply that you have superior knowledge about how to beat the system, former croupier or not, my son was also involved in the industry and he thought he was also that clever, bankrupt twice now, expect you will jump on that comment! We do have a few mutual friends from fishing, associated with the Tackle Box, I will pass on this thread now, except to say I won 4.5k on Tiger today on a sport which is not corrupted like many others, though I can't understand why Molinari fcuked u on 12 and 15, hitting balls into the water when I could have collected 6.5k?

I hope you don't respond as I really don't wish to continue this subject oh here, hope you give my best wishes to Gary Peet, but then I sent you a pm about that weeks ago and got no reply!

Fair point fella. Sometimes my own issues get in the way perhaps. Each to they're own for sure, a great thread here for those interested in having a bit of a flutter i was more commenting on posts within bait threads. Being around gamblers for too long has taught me that most are bull****ters too..

David, just because you were a smack head about it all... Does not mean that everyone else is a smack head about it all. Does it? You had a serious problem if you lost your house. I used to take peoples houses, like yours. My record for 30 mins on a roulette table, is £1.9 million off of one man. I watched folks lose everything, their homes, their relationships... The lot.

Who are you, to be telling people what they should or should not be doing?

So if you used to be an alcoholic... Then no one should talk about drink? LOL. Deal with your own problems mate...

If none of you can understand why that horse was 'pulled' yesterday when the ground went against it... Horses are not your game. So it should have run, and we lost our money right? The trainer pulled it, because the money was down, and the ground had gone against it.

What a load of *****. I agree it can become a problem for some. But for people like me I strong willed. I donít drink I donít smoke donít do drugs. So if mark or anyone else wants to give me a tip then heís more than welcome to. You donít have to open up this thread.

I no I can put £5 on a horse and walk away no matter what the result. So donít judge everyone with your own mistakes.

Sorry but personal demons donít dictate what happens on a forum with 10000ís of users, some people enjoy the occasional flutter, some people have issues out of their control and some people skim past it.

I donít bet, work too hard for my money but doesnít mean other people cant enjoy seeing it, just like you donít enjoy seeing it. Canít please and cater for everyone

Couldn't agree more david. As a life long gambling addict I really struggle with temptation and really don't want to see it within angling posts as you said it's a mugs game. All this talk of guaranteed winners is a load of cobblers. You may have a winner today and everyone cheers, but no mention of the thousands lost along the way. I'm glad there's a separate post for the gambler but please keep it away from the angling.

I shouldn't comment and I won't except (LOL), listen to the tipsters and you will lose!!!

Perhaps the horse was carrying too much money in bets and the bookies paid the trainer to stop him running (been done before), no idea why he didn't start, sure Mark will provide an explanation? Stick to making baits m8, bet responsibly and don't encourage others to lose their money! No idea why you started the topic about gambling, but as a reformed gambler this subject is not posted in the spirit of a carp forum!
