Any one know if ridgemonkey hooks fit the same as the kamakuras? Know they have a similar package but not sure if they are the same size. Cheers Ian

In reply to Post #83 cheers gents
ordered mine and will see how it goes

In reply to Post #82 I've had both, and the box has room for hooklinks etc that the tackle safe doesn't. That's the main plus for me, I found with the tackle safe I had all my bits and pieces, but my hooklinks and hooks were all just shoved in the compaq on top, whereas now I've got everything in one neat box. It's definitely a great bit of kit, if not a bit overpriced for what is essentially a plastic box with a couple of magnets

Same, I bought the 220 pouch to go with the tacklebox and now I literally ha e everything in that pouch that I need endtackle wise, have my zig gear and pva bits in there
In reply to Post #82 Yeah you get more space and now I have bought the bag to fit my jag sharpener kit in and hooklinks the box is spot on.I don't feel like I have got to play tetris to fit by bits and bobs in it like I did with the tacklesafe
In reply to Post #70 This is what I am trying to decide. I have the tacklesafe with the normal bag and just about get everything in it. Is the new tacklebox really worth the upgrade? do you get a lot more space to justify it?
In reply to Post #80 I thought the plastic was to stiff, felt brittle, can't see it'll last long.
In reply to Post #79 Had a look at one in AD the other week. Was really disappointed felt horrible. Really wanted one until then. Will stick to my 12 year old chin one.

Can anyone who’s bought oneput up the dimensions and weight of the empty box?
I rely on mail order as nowhere local to see one and handle it before possibly buying and can’t see any dimension or weight info online.

In reply to Post #1 I like playing about and making/inventing new rigs up on the bank, so I carry every sort of hook, hooklink, leadclip and every other bib and bob that I can lay my hands on; if I like the look of them. But I always thought the Fox boxes were a con. I have 2 chub boxes that hold everything you can reasonably imagine, they've lasted me years, and the pair of them cost less than 40 quid.

In reply to Post #76 I like mine
Had the tacklesafe, rigsafe, Trakker pva pouch before hand and now just have the Korda box. Ok you can only squeeze 8-10 rigs in there but I only use 2-3 different rigs so I have 3 of each tied up ready as spares then just tie new ones as I use them.
I’ve just ordered the bigger compact case for it so I can get my pva bits in there with everything else.
End of the day it’s a tacklebox, nothing groundbreaking but it does the job for me
In reply to Post #75 So now it’s been out a few weeks is it worth buying? Was looking at them in angling direct today and couldn’t decide.
In reply to Post #74 I use one but leave the plastic sleeve on and have it separate to the box as it takes up quite a bit of room inside the box
In reply to Post #72 Are the leader saves any good
In reply to Post #72 Gunna order one and if I don't like it so get rid
In reply to Post #71 I like it because have not got to play tetris to get my bits and bobs in but I did like my tacklesafe and compac too
Can't make my mind up weather to get one and sack my tackle safe off and compac bag are they any better
boughtone, transferred all my stuff into it...was trying to find things to put in it...emptied it out, bloke is coming to collect it this morning..luckily bought from bobco in the sale so ive lost no money...back to the tacklesafe and compact ....no need for anything bigger for me anyway
In reply to Post #67 I thought the same, plus the plastic seemed to be of the solid brittle type, where as the Fox one's are made of the forgiving flexible plastic, so I don't recon the life expectancy of the new Korda box is a long one. The Fox ones last for ever.
In reply to Post #67 Dito, looked at one yesterday and thought exactly the same.
I have one of the “fake”tacklesafes and am going back to my Medium FoxBox as I find it a pain in the backside.
had a look at one and could not believe how heavy it was when empty, imo fox box is better
In reply to Post #63 I know I did feel wrong doing it but it had to be done
In reply to Post #63 just need a pic of T's decaff cuppa on his box now :-p

In reply to Post #63
You know I have a few in there already stop being silly 😋
In reply to Post #61 If they are the same size as the little box the esp bait floss comes in then yes they will fit
Dose any one know if the fox spool dispensers fit in the box
Any 1 got any empty kamakura hook boxes I can buy
Pleaseeee
Has anyone got one of the 16 comp mini boxes by any chance, is it just a double sided 8 and what's the size pls ?
Edit, it is a double hinged 8.

In reply to Post #57 Mmm. I think I'll stick to my 3.99 one from Home Bargains.

In reply to Post #55 On the plus side you’ve done some field testing and realised the 200 is useable albeit a tight squeeze
i take it back, i have been sent the 200 by mistake. i ordered the 220 and checked it after the replies from you guys...i whole heartedly apologise to korda ( not that theyre on here).
In reply to Post #52 Is the 220 the biggest one. I can get my krimp pliers down the side of mine ?
In reply to Post #52 Mine goes in with ease so maybe you have a dodgy one?
Are korda taking the piss with compact 220,thought id get 1 to store the tackle box in as it will be kept in the car and only essentials taken to the lake....i need a tube of ky jelly to try and persuade the tackle box into the compact...why when a couple of mm extra would have made things alot easier...something else being launched to the depths of the shed and sold in a few months in a clear out ffs.
In reply to Post #48 I just got the tackle box to keep all spare stuff in which was just in a big pouch before. All Nicely organised now and in the van if I need them and using the tackle safe in my scope. Really happy
In reply to Post #49 Just got myself one , ye it’s expensive but for me it’s the ideal box. It’s like the fox box and Korda tackle safe in one. I’ve gone from having a fox box, a trakker nxg pouch and a rig board to the one box. Saves so much room and weight which is why I bought it.
Just so everyone knows the compartment where the hook links go don’t just fit the square korda hooklinks. Majority of mine are round and they fit fine . Also the small fox boxes what you put your bits in fit perfectly fine as well
In reply to Post #48 Saw them in ang direct people were buying 2 at a time
Took a look at one and couldn’t believe the hype. It’s just another tackle box but with a magnetic lid and made to suit Korda tackle. They have even redone their braid onto square spools to suit
Gonna be some cheap end tackle on ebay.
Bit gutted I saw these after buying the tackle safe, although I don't want to pay the £40 or whatever it is I keep getting drawn to buying the damn things, does anyone know if it will fit in a Trakker compact carryall?
Dose any 1 know the dimensions?
these are 31.99 at bobco today anyone looking to buy one.
In reply to Post #42 Where can I get 1
In reply to Post #43 There’s a used one on the bay already! 😂
In reply to Post #42 True that!
The way these "Korda tackle boxes" are going, I would not be surprised if in the future they release a large tackle box that will hold 2 or 3 tackle safes, 2 or 3 chod safes, 2 or 3 tackle boxes, 2 or 3 rig safe, 2 or 3 leader safes etc or various combinations of and anything else they bring out before it. Then when your sat admiring your little collection of small boxes inside a large box, you will suddenly realize you have been scammed and should have just stuck with what you used to use as its gone round full circle.
Probably call it the "Korda Box safe" and be as big as a wheelie bin.

In reply to Post #37 Well that's hardly in the spirit of the forum is it?
You're supposed to order one having not done any research whatsoever then come on here and slate it for not meeting your exact requirements.

In reply to Post #36 I’m gonna have to drag my arse to the shop to see one

In reply to Post #35 Iv just got one and im thinking it's a bit to big to be honest.. Might go back to the tackle safe.

In reply to Post #34 no wonder i think it’s small then, I’ve probably 15 different spools 😬

In reply to Post #33 Most of my hook links I've pre tied ( probably 50 to 60 ) and a box of tied chods. So generally just carry ESP tungsten in case. we tend to carry far more than we need.
In reply to Post #32 4
Coated braid
Subtle braid
Flurocarbon
Zig and floater line
Don't feel the need to have different colours and breaking strains anymore its just more weight to carry
In reply to Post #31 On average how many different hooklinks to people have in their box?
In reply to Post #30 Any pics of it full mate?
I fancy 1 😍
In reply to Post #29 It’s surprising how much you can actually fit in it for such a small box. I swapped all my tackle over from my old box earlier and after abit of a declutter I got everything I wanted in it.
Only down side is I’m not sure how long the the lids on the compartments bit will last. They feel cheap like they could snap
In reply to Post #28 I nearly bought the bundle from JR last night for £87 but changed my mind at the last minute, not sure I’ll fit all my bits in there.
In reply to Post #18 I've still got mine, minus the top tackle box, not sure where that's gone :-( Over the years I added loads of Octoplus kit to it and it still does the job...however last year I inherited a load of Preston Off/On box gear and I alomost bought a new seat box for it, might still do...hmm.
Re the new Korda Tackle box, I can't see it doing anything that my Fox box doesn't, but you never know!
Does anyone have the dimensions of the new Tackle Box? Can't see them anywhere...

In reply to Post #25 Pva bags doing their bit.
As mentioned, I was shocked how much packaging there was after replacing my two stolen Tackle bags. Almost an entire dust bin bags worth. I cringed at the thought of it.

In reply to Post #21 Agreed, could all come on a small card with pva clingfilm.

In reply to Post #15 I use a my fair share of Korda kit. Not massive amounts as I only fish with two rigs these days.
I recently bought a Tacklesafe that fits all my terminal tackle and have become really attached to it. Superb peice of kit and very well made. Nice to see a bit of quality.
But and it's a big but. I am starting to get concerned about the amount of plastic in fishing packaging.
All that plastic you have to buy to fill this new size large box. Do we really need to be doing that in our day and age with tons of plastic going into the seas and landfill.
I would have hoped. The nice people at Korda would have been looking at ways to cut their plastic use.
Not encouraging people to buy more.

In reply to Post #17 Yeah I loved mine.I had my seatbox and the tackle box for Christmas I was so excited I made my dad take me down the canal on boxing day.It was bloody freezing ice everywhere but managed to catch my first ever fish a small perch. It was funny as the box was almost as big as me
In reply to Post #15 I remember what a stroke of genius I thought that was
Sat on your big blue plastic box truly the king of the castle... I bought a Rive seat box a few years back and with the accessories it wasn't much shy of 2k...was it any more comfortable than my blue plastic box...not really
In reply to Post #14 Is that the one that sat at top of the seatbox on the ridge so when you lifted the lid it was right there at the top.Thats the one I had
Still think the Shakespeare tackle box that was designed for their legendary seat box is class. I had one for eons and kinda regret giving it away.
I two bit the bullet and paid in opinion well over the odds for one of there Compac storage case and Tacklesafe, and glad I did, as it's one of the best ideas they've had.
Korda probably realised tackle sales were dropping because of its compactness. And there is no way you could possibly get all the lovely terminal tackle they produce in it.. they have now solved that problem..

In reply to Post #7 I dont think so mate, i also think the tackle storage range they are doing at the minute is the best out there.
I said it, there you go

In reply to Post #7 plus ths add on boxes that go in it

Is £40 for the box really a lot of money?? The f boxes are more than that

In reply to Post #2 That’s what is putting me off too.....think I’ll stick with my fox box until I get a good look at one.

In reply to Post #4 Managed to get my hands on one to play with last week. I actually think they will sell well tbh. Some neat little attributes....

I seen this at the northern angling show and it looked spot on. So much so I pre ordered 1 so hopefully I will have it early next week. I will post when it arrives

In reply to Post #1 I've turned into a bit of a korda fanboy recently due to some of there tackle storage bits and pieces. Gonna swerve this one, all the gear i have is well made and well thought out, i think this one is designed to fit there hooklink spools, hook packs and other bits and pieces specifically.
Plenty of time for me to buckle yet though

afternoon , anyone got / seen one of these yet ? Seem a lot of money for what they are ? Perhaps NGT will bring a decent copy out
