Any one know if ridgemonkey hooks fit the same as the kamakuras? Know they have a similar package but not sure if they are the same size. Cheers Ian

I've had both, and the box has room for hooklinks etc that the tackle safe doesn't. That's the main plus for me, I found with the tackle safe I had all my bits and pieces, but my hooklinks and hooks were all just shoved in the compaq on top, whereas now I've got everything in one neat box. It's definitely a great bit of kit, if not a bit overpriced for what is essentially a plastic box with a couple of magnets

Yeah you get more space and now I have bought the bag to fit my jag sharpener kit in and hooklinks the box is spot on.I don't feel like I have got to play tetris to fit by bits and bobs in it like I did with the tacklesafe

This is what I am trying to decide. I have the tacklesafe with the normal bag and just about get everything in it. Is the new tacklebox really worth the upgrade? do you get a lot more space to justify it?

Can anyone who’s bought oneput up the dimensions and weight of the empty box?

I rely on mail order as nowhere local to see one and handle it before possibly buying and can’t see any dimension or weight info online.

I like playing about and making/inventing new rigs up on the bank, so I carry every sort of hook, hooklink, leadclip and every other bib and bob that I can lay my hands on; if I like the look of them. But I always thought the Fox boxes were a con. I have 2 chub boxes that hold everything you can reasonably imagine, they've lasted me years, and the pair of them cost less than 40 quid.

I like mine

Had the tacklesafe, rigsafe, Trakker pva pouch before hand and now just have the Korda box. Ok you can only squeeze 8-10 rigs in there but I only use 2-3 different rigs so I have 3 of each tied up ready as spares then just tie new ones as I use them.

I’ve just ordered the bigger compact case for it so I can get my pva bits in there with everything else.

End of the day it’s a tacklebox, nothing groundbreaking but it does the job for me

I use one but leave the plastic sleeve on and have it separate to the box as it takes up quite a bit of room inside the box

I thought the same, plus the plastic seemed to be of the solid brittle type, where as the Fox one's are made of the forgiving flexible plastic, so I don't recon the life expectancy of the new Korda box is a long one. The Fox ones last for ever.

Are korda taking the piss with compact 220,thought id get 1 to store the tackle box in as it will be kept in the car and only essentials taken to the lake....i need a tube of ky jelly to try and persuade the tackle box into the compact...why when a couple of mm extra would have made things alot easier...something else being launched to the depths of the shed and sold in a few months in a clear out ffs.

Just got myself one , ye it’s expensive but for me it’s the ideal box. It’s like the fox box and Korda tackle safe in one. I’ve gone from having a fox box, a trakker nxg pouch and a rig board to the one box. Saves so much room and weight which is why I bought it.

Just so everyone knows the compartment where the hook links go don’t just fit the square korda hooklinks. Majority of mine are round and they fit fine . Also the small fox boxes what you put your bits in fit perfectly fine as well

Took a look at one and couldn’t believe the hype. It’s just another tackle box but with a magnetic lid and made to suit Korda tackle. They have even redone their braid onto square spools to suit
Gonna be some cheap end tackle on ebay.

The way these "Korda tackle boxes" are going, I would not be surprised if in the future they release a large tackle box that will hold 2 or 3 tackle safes, 2 or 3 chod safes, 2 or 3 tackle boxes, 2 or 3 rig safe, 2 or 3 leader safes etc or various combinations of and anything else they bring out before it. Then when your sat admiring your little collection of small boxes inside a large box, you will suddenly realize you have been scammed and should have just stuck with what you used to use as its gone round full circle.

Probably call it the "Korda Box safe" and be as big as a wheelie bin.

Most of my hook links I've pre tied ( probably 50 to 60 ) and a box of tied chods. So generally just carry ESP tungsten in case. we tend to carry far more than we need.

It’s surprising how much you can actually fit in it for such a small box. I swapped all my tackle over from my old box earlier and after abit of a declutter I got everything I wanted in it.
Only down side is I’m not sure how long the the lids on the compartments bit will last. They feel cheap like they could snap

I've still got mine, minus the top tackle box, not sure where that's gone :-( Over the years I added loads of Octoplus kit to it and it still does the job...however last year I inherited a load of Preston Off/On box gear and I alomost bought a new seat box for it, might still do...hmm.

Re the new Korda Tackle box, I can't see it doing anything that my Fox box doesn't, but you never know!

Pva bags doing their bit.

As mentioned, I was shocked how much packaging there was after replacing my two stolen Tackle bags. Almost an entire dust bin bags worth. I cringed at the thought of it.

I use a my fair share of Korda kit. Not massive amounts as I only fish with two rigs these days.

I recently bought a Tacklesafe that fits all my terminal tackle and have become really attached to it. Superb peice of kit and very well made. Nice to see a bit of quality.

But and it's a big but. I am starting to get concerned about the amount of plastic in fishing packaging.

All that plastic you have to buy to fill this new size large box. Do we really need to be doing that in our day and age with tons of plastic going into the seas and landfill.

I would have hoped. The nice people at Korda would have been looking at ways to cut their plastic use.
Not encouraging people to buy more.

I two bit the bullet and paid in opinion well over the odds for one of there Compac storage case and Tacklesafe, and glad I did, as it's one of the best ideas they've had.

Korda probably realised tackle sales were dropping because of its compactness. And there is no way you could possibly get all the lovely terminal tackle they produce in it.. they have now solved that problem..

That’s what is putting me off too.....think I’ll stick with my fox box until I get a good look at one.

Managed to get my hands on one to play with last week. I actually think they will sell well tbh. Some neat little attributes....

I seen this at the northern angling show and it looked spot on. So much so I pre ordered 1 so hopefully I will have it early next week. I will post when it arrives

They aren't released until this weekend chap. Seen one at a show though, nice bit of kit and well made.

I've turned into a bit of a korda fanboy recently due to some of there tackle storage bits and pieces. Gonna swerve this one, all the gear i have is well made and well thought out, i think this one is designed to fit there hooklink spools, hook packs and other bits and pieces specifically.

Plenty of time for me to buckle yet though
