I have not had a closer look yet but when i first looked at the particular screw it just didn't look long enough.... I see they do packs of two replacement screws but not sure if the thread is any longer? To be honest i dont think it will effect the pods use for my fishing anyway but just annoying..... Thanks for input gents.👍

Even when new, that particular thumb screw doesnít really tighten it solid..itís under gunned.
Fully extend the tube and check for damage. It could be severely dented where itís been over tightened.
I think Cygnet makes some better thumb screws as after parts for these. Iím thinking of getting some myself.

Can anyone help? I have just got hold of a second hand cygnet grand sniper pod and overall very impressed. Only little issue is the screw that locks the extending main bar doesn't seem long enough so does bite/tighten. Taken screw out and its the same length as all the other screws that adjust the various other components, can anyone confirm if this screw should be longer? Hope that made sense?👍
