Coarse lake will overtake the carp lake pretty soon I reckon.
Walked it a few times whilst winding in from the carp lake.
Love to go on there but canít warrant the time at moment...

Shaunyboy is right. According to the website the big lake is only £950 p.a. It's the Carp Lake that's much more expensive.

It's a very special place but I agree that you have to draw the line somewhere. My Mrs would cut my balls off if I even suggested spending 2.5k on a fishing ticket.

Edit: would I pay it if I thought I could get away with it? Probably. Those fish are next level.

I'm laughing at the "Wingham is only £950 for the year." bit, even if it is £1700 out.
Unbelievable prices either way.

Best you get on the waiting list then, and wait, and wait, and hope a place comes up.
Good luck.

Wingham coarse lake, After the resident 25-50 cormarants on the island wiped out pretty much everything under 5 pounds in the early 2000's, the biomass was reduced massively by mother nature, to favour the bigger fish left in there. Even the pike were taking boilies back then as there was no abundance of fry!

So it is no surprise to me, how they have grown since.

The known/unknown fish with potential to hit mid to upper 60+ will definitely come out of the coarse lake, it is the much richer of the two, with many areas, topology wise that makes Harefield look flat, to hide away from anglers.
