While fishing a syndicate lake on my own in early February I slipped into the margins and went completely under water. I couldn't get out as the bank was too slippy, so I managed to knock my rods off the banksticks and I then used the banksticks to claw my way out and up the bank. As soon as I was out of the water I made my way to the van and stripped off, struggled into some dry clothes and got into my doss bag still shivering. I had a hot brew from my night flask and fell asleep. I was woken up hours later by one of the members who had just arrived and saw my van door open and my rods and alarms strewn up the bank. He thought I had been robbed. Luckily he didnt turn up to see a body floating in the Icy water.

Whilst playing a little catfish, I stepped backwards and fell through a hole in the pontoon at a lake I was fishing and fell right through into the water breaking three ribs in the process (my ribs were the only thing to make contact with the pontoon on the way down and I was basically snapped in two).. I was completely winded and confused in the water for a couple of minutes I guess. There was nobody else at the lake. Luckily I managed to clamber out and called my wife to come and get me! Itís funny now but couldíve ended a lot worse!
I also really scratched up one of my little E-Class rods and lost the cat!

Jeez, even I wouldn't consider it in these conditions we've been having.

Na no claim because there was gale force winds at the time so they wont be able to tell if the tree was damaged beforehand or if it was because of the high winds..
