I fished it a few times and always caught very well and big fish too they have named swims now instead of numbers I have fished it in April had frosty nights yet still caught well I rate this as one of the top ten lakes in France
my choice in order in April would be
Royal Box
Pole position
Lake side
I would check the rules as its got some rules that are designed for the benefit of the fish
bait ! slings mats etc

how did you get on, where did you fish topgun and buzzman??

i know ben has moved on and the fishery has changed hands but it only happened last year so may still be the same for now. rules are same. Did you buy particle from the lake owners, not sure if they are going to sell it this year. Sure corn will be ok tho. just hemp, i love using hemp!!

cheers carl

Fished it last June, lovely water great fish, met the new owners there, they were also buying another established water. Ben the bailiff has now moved on as well so things may change only time will tell.

I believe that the ownership of this lake changed hands last year ! so things might be different now. However my Son and I have fished this venue 3 times in the last 7 years when Jim and Jan were the owners, I only have absolute praise for both of them and what they achieved at Bluewater

No secret, just good fishery management by an owner that knows what hes doing. What has been achieved is truly amazing and shows it is possible to grow your own big fish !!!!

Just read that the lake record is amazingly now 85lbs there are so many venues in France that were established long before Bluewater that have had big fish for so many years and yet still trying to break the 70lb barrier, so what is the secret?

As you've had no replies..... I fished Le Lac Bleu about 20 years ago but this info may be for another entirely different lake, its a common name. And out of date of course. Look for signs of fish and you probably won't see any at this time of year. Go for a central location and just keep pumping hemp/corn and eventually they will move onto it, in a week...maybe/maybe not.

Anyone fished Blue water lakes in france, i am going in 4 weeks and wondered if anyone had fished it early in the year in probably coolish temperatures, do the fish get on the bait with the water being so deep?

any help on tactics baiting and peg choice would help or just how you fished it when you were there and how you went on.

thanks in advance

tight lines
