I simply order through the eBay shop and collect at my local Argos.

Takes all the guess work and risk out of it.

I actually meant a camera that films like a dash cam, Go Pro etc. This would cover their every move so they couldn’t say it was delivered when it wasn’t or they left a calling card when they didn’t

I once knocked on a door and ran off.

Wasn’t banking on him getting in his car and following me, thought I’d lost him when I ran into the fields only to then notice that he was now running after me after he’d parked his car up.

Good lord, was I fcuked.

to be honest, the item was worth about a tenner and i just didnt have the time or willing to deal with it. If it was a more valuable item obviously i would have done.

thats good advice though

Isn't it strange how they suddenly become attentive once a big concern becomes involved..or a social media post is made...

They think... hope actually, the little guy will just give in.
I have just noted them down as good for nothing...however cheap their gear is.
Not worth the bother of dealing with IMO.

I had a similar thing happen with the return of my baitboat from a service , the delivery company claimed they delivered it
was funny when I told them I have CCTV on my drive that clearly shows no one had delivered at the time they stated

guess what , I got my boat as it suddenly appeared 2 days later when I explained I would get the police involved

I had a similar issue with tackle discounts

I ordered a sleeping bag from their website but luckily paid by PayPal

Upon receipt there was a tear in the stitching

I sent numerous emails which they did not reply to.

I then started a case with PayPal and low and behold they replied immediately and the return was sorted.

You're like a ping pong ball in that scenario.

Did you not try Ebay customer support services...?
In some cases like this they ( Ebay) have made a refund themselves out of their profits when the seller refused to work with the courier.I got a pair of Fox rods free and nix in such a situation in December.Took ten days and numerous exchanges of mail and phone calls though.
I did read you had not wished to waste further time on it...
Might help someone else though.
