Sloppy angling Ian! Well of course Mick stuck to the rules, I'd have expected nothing less.

Size 10 longshanks are all I used to use at one time, snowman rig with an 18mil boilie and a small 10 mil pop on top, long hair with around 10 mil from bend of hook to bottom of boilie. Caught fish to 35lb on this rig. Korda, fox, solar were all good , also Kamasan B175 very cheap and good 👍just crush the barb flat.

Yeah but although the rules said "barbless only" I believe I was the only one using them, you bunch of dodgy barstewards.

Thanks for the replies lads, think l'll have to keep the rigs very simple which might not be a bad thing and bait wise l'm thinking 10/12 mm boilies or trimmed down tiger nut and plastic corn and with not casting far l might make some small ground bait balls up which l could add a few 10mm boilies a few tigers and corn too.
Anyway thanks again think l would be lossed sometimes without this forum really helpful

If you have to use a largish bait then lengthen the hair to compensate.

I've caught plenty of fish to mid-thirties on size 10's and 12's without issue. The 12's were Korda Longshanks and 10' have been a few of the Nash patterns.

Hi going to have a crack a smallish club water in the next few weeks with a maximum barbless hook size of 10 it's a mixed fishery but the carp go upto mid twenties and must admit l've never used anything smaller than a size 8 so if anyone could recommend a decent barbless size 10 hook please, not really sure what rigs to use either can't see my snowman rig working with a size 10 nor a pop up rig and if l go with a wafters it would have to be that small not to lift the hook. Many thanks in advance
