Er after being an unwilling test pilot for many companies gear that turned out to be absolute crap...I'd say thinking about the re sale value is the prudent thing to do... However as I said before if you are comfortable with your probably £550 quid purchaser/field tester role then crack on

I agree,I still use my mk1 txi's and there bomb proof never had any problems least of all with water Ingres
As someone said on here if Delkim had made the new ones to look like the mk1 Txi ( same body) but with more tweaks etc then they would flying off the shelves,I'm not really fussed what the new ones look like but they do look cheap things

Yes I get that, but why even consider it when buying? It's no different to most other alarms being fixed colours, and they still sell well enough. With delks users seem to be quite long term, so doubtful they will be selling them on anytime soon anyway, not like you fox users getting shot every couple of years when the next new model comes out... 😂

I only replace my kit when it needs it, hence I still use mk1 txi+ delks, few minor repairs over the years but all wear and tear related. Seems like people swap alarms around extremely quickly nowadays, probably due to water ingress with the mk2s but I think its shocking to sell them on if they have a problem.

Plenty of 'used twice' or 6 months old on the adverts for mk2s, if the new ones are built to last then with the water ingress issue sorted then you shouldnt need to sell them on?

I don't think that is the point. The point is selling second hand delks is limited to who will buy as the colour of the led is fixed on one colour. If you saw a set of delks forsale and they were red led but you had green bobbins then you might not buy them unless you are not bothered about them matching of course

So you think about selling gear before you have even bought it? How odd...

I'd say if you got bored of your current colour delks then its likely to be after warranties are over, £10 LED change from Dalectronics and the job is done.

Lets say for instance I really think the new Delkims are the dogs and would like some....I'll be selling my RX+s...and that's what they are, they can be any colour any prospective buyer wants them to be.
However if I buy a Purple set of Delkims imagine if they come up with an updated version in 12 months which I'd really like to swap my Purple set for....I've got to sell them as a Purple set...limiting my selling market to just people who like Purple.
If however you think nothing new will ever come out in your life time and plan on being buried with them...spunk away

I've had most alarms and the fox rx+ is on a different level IMO. looks wise , started to get used to it, cant beat the older look but for some reason these companies feel the need to change. The rx+ is so user friendly but packed with the right features. I do like the different drop back tone and changing the LED colours and brightness on back might be a gimmick but I like it. longevity is a different matter, but from what I can see not too many complaining apart from odd initial issue with some batches where the knobs where falling off but that seems to have been resolved. I also love the deepest tone setting they have, its unique to Fox.

I loved the mk1 delks design but they lost it from me when they got more modern and way too many people saying about water ingress for it not to be an issue. no smoke without fire. that said the delk warble is great and obviously you cant beat the vibro for sensitivity. Thumbs up for customer service also. I just wonder how much they pay korda to use and promote. you don't see Elliot gray using delks anymore. I honestly think if korda started using a different brand alarm, then delkim would see a substantial drop in revenue.

I no next to nothing like a lot of people on here about these new alarms. But the Fact Delkim have I believe only introduced four new alarms in the thirty odd years since first introducing the vibration system says a lot to me..

If it don't warble, then it ain't a Delhi, even some of the birds give a delkim warble during the dawn chorus in Kent. I just hope the tetraxloimitator bird doesn't become extinct.

Was at the northern for the big launch on Saturday and I was pretty impressed, I expect a lot of TXi’s for sale very soon. Don’t think I’ll be parting with my Nev’s though anytime soon.
