This lake has been on the circuit for many, many years and used to be a part of the Authon complex years ago and many travelling Anglers experienced there first big hit of carp from this place and many PB's plus, it used to contain very large Cats which could be a pain when active.

As Rodders has said, far bank work is usually where it is at however, you can pick them off in open water.

Good luck.

Easy to fish without bait boat,, cast to far margin or righthand margin if fishing peg 1,then just walk around the lake to bait up, couldn't tell you about current fish stocks as not been for a few years.. 👍

Its looks a really good place, its just there are only 3 reviews in the last 12 months. Really looking forward to going, just thought there would be more youtube vids etc.
Could it be fished without a bait boat? What is the average stamp, stocking etc.

It was a few years ago, it can be quite Peggy, with the dam wall peg being most consistent, if it's warm the catfish dominate the shallows and push carp towards the dam end.. 👍

How recently have you fished it? Should all of us catch?

Try searching for Etang cailleaux .

Plenty of photos and a few vids offering layout and details of catches.
It doesn't appear to have changed much over the last ten years.
Be aware that it looks like a prolific big cat water , not my bag.

Enjoy.

Hi after a bit of info on cailleaux booked through carp france, we have booked the venue between 4 anglers this september but have found very little info or regular reviews. Has anyone been there recently or ever to help with a bit of guidance
Thanks
