Worcester Bosch are well regarded, ours is over 15 years old now.
What I would say though is whatever you decide make sure it's easily serviceable.

Take our WB, we thought we had a problem with the expansion tank, it's in a bloody awful local to service/replace, several heating engineers didn't even want to take a look at it and those that did warned of the labour due to time.

I did have a look around at replacing it a couple of years ago and it seems this design 'flaw' has been engineered out, but thought it worth a mention. At that time the father in law who's just retired as a HE still said WB were very good, so did the Mrs God father who teaches HE's at college, both said however the competition is a lot better now.

Three houses three Worcester Bosch 32cdi fitted in the loft.
First boiler condense run froze locking boiler out. ( not a boiler fault but installed incorrectly)
Second house same boiler pcb broke again one of them things.
Iím more than happy with Worcester over last 15 years and would buy again.
I know people with valiant who are just as happy too.

Any combi is only as good as the person that installs and maintains it and none of the manufacturers guarantees will be worth the paper they are printed on if in correctly installed.

Nice one all thanks for your input.

My nephew whose a plumber works alongside his mate whose gas safe registered Ďor whatever is the legal requirement these daysí and heís just recommended the Worcester Bosch as says canít go wrong.

Donít mind the budget as long as itís decent.

Once again thanks all, much appreciated.

Ps, donít suppose anyone knows good folk around the Staffordshire area who do loft conversions as I need it boarding out, floor made stronger to use as extra storage space?.

It's like the fox, delkim, fox, steve neville etc.. debate..Depends on your budget, also.

See what guarantee you get and prices from each installer. Prices vary!

viessmann, worcester, vaillant, ideal are all recommended these days but each guy prefers to fit and work on something else....

Vokera or glow warm, the latter manufactured by vaillant as there 'budget' are good budget boilers and do the same job.
