Haven't used them in a while, very good bait any time of year, personally don't add anything as they milk up just fine on their own.

I don't really do winter fishing any more, got fed up with the long nights, don't mind the cold so much as the the cold and wet anyway, I use groats when I start my spring campaign, along with condensed milk, maple syrup and blended sweetcorn

Anybody been giving these and the condensed milk a bash this winter? Used to be a winner back in the day along with maggots.
