Likwise fluoro and semi-slack lines or tighter with a back lead,

It definitely works. Used it a fair bit last year with no problems. Bit more subtle than a chod too, being a lower lying pop up.

Yep used it for years and it works well. I use fluro hooklinks mostly and no probs with tangles or mouth damage. heli is the safest set up for fish imo.

Assuming you don't mean just with the ronnie rig ring sliding directly on the mainline, although some do this and say it works. Never tried it myself.

Has anyone tried using a ronnie rig on a naked helicopter set up?

Just having a play with rig ideas, haven't made it up to see how it looks, just wondering about possible issues such as fish damage, or tangles on cast (i'd assume the stiff boom plus heli set up would eliminate that problem?)

Any opinions would be appreciated
