Hello mate, I have one unit in the lounge and one in the bedroom, absolutely brilliant during the hot couple of days we had last week it was like a fridge in my house, the units I have are Mitsubishi so I can only speak about them, mine run virtually silent.
They wall mounted in each of the 2rooms and you have a unit that is either wall mounted or floor mounted so make sure you have room for that.
They also double up as heaters in the winter but we haven’t used that feature in the 3 years that we have had them.
I’m not sure on the running cost but it may be something that you look into.
They were around £1600 installed if I remember which I didn’t think was that bad.
I wouldn’t even bother with them little portable ones the ones we had were useless.
You won’t regret buying them.

I have two wall mount ac units. They have up to five years, so you are right to choose this type of AC. The wall ac is tested by the times. I would recommend buying a BrandsMart but do not forget to clean it periodically. I mean here cleaning and checking air filter or cleaning pipes, blower wheel, and drain pans. Also, I would recommend these guys on https://www.airconservicingsingapore.com/ who is gonna do all this job.
Qualified workers, quick service, and reasonable price. I call them once a year to check my AC if it needs a chemical wash or chemical overhaul.

Hi,

I'm thinking of buying an AC unit.

Not an Argos special with a hose to go outside the window, but a proper full on installed through the wall type.

Any forum members got experience or knowledge of one.

cheers
Mike
