Its a seriously nice looking piece of kit.Is there a way you don't have to lie it down on the ground before you attach the storm poles that is putting me off it as I fish a lake that gets very messy in certain pegs

Off topic ever so slightly, it wasnít until watching something about Shackleton earlier that I realised Chris Manifold probably got the idea of the pramhood bivvy from that expedition,

This is one of the tents they used

the headroom was better where you needed it (on the way out ) I would dispute the tempest is quicker dont think there is anything in it
yes my Tempest Bivvy has a bit more room but do you really need it ? spent a few 2 week sessions in france and had loads of room
I think they have made a mistake if they have lowered the new one

So if you had the money and did not have a knackered shoulder would you choose this pioneer over the tempest.I just think the tempest is quicker to put up and looks like more use able space inside so interested to know why you would choose pioneer if you would

The original Pio never had a peak and in all the years I used mine it never needed one I believe its just the top hat has been altered to make it
I have a Tempest bivvy at the moment and 3 other bivvys lol
but hand on heart I thought the Original Pio was a better bivvy if only it had rear vents I could put it up or away soo fast

g4fne has used site within the last 5 mins

You get a peak with the wrap. At an extra cost. I think that tells you all you need to know about aqua's; design

No it doesnt .... If you want a peak, buy a pramhood or a Titan

.
.

Besides Iím more than happy with my cyprinus dpm4. Just wish it was in aqua green,

to be fair the Shelter is not that heavy by itself that weight is incl pegs groundsheet etc

Weight: Approx 14.5kg (broken down as follows g sheet 2.7kg / pegs 1.2kg / bivvy 6.2kg/ infil 1.8kg / storm rods and outer bag 2.6kg )

Absolutely no chance. Iím a self confessed aqua fanboy. But I just donít get this at all. To me the tempest is the natural evolution of the pioneer. Better in pretty much every aspect.

Besides Iím more than happy with my cyprinus dpm4. Just wish it was in aqua green, but not enough to pay the £300 difference!

In a time when we are all obsessing about cutting down on weight, aqua bring out a 15kg shelter. No thanks.

Hi Saw one of these in Browns today. IMO the only thing going for it is the colour.....
