After seeing this in the flesh today, I'm glad it's way too small for me as I probably would have got my cash out there and then if it had been bigger.
The quality of this seems way above anything aqua has brought out for a long long time. The colour and thickness if the aquatexx looks just like the original union Jack stuff.
I'd be very surprised if they don't bring a bigger 1 out in the not too distant future.

Ok, just for the sake of balance. Having seen one in the flesh, sat in it, pulled it about etc. There are a couple of plus points.

1. The material really does feel like a return to the quality aquatex of old.
2. Feck me itís a strong bivvy. I know this one was screwed down in a shop, but assuming you can get the pegs and four sticks in as strong, then itís going nowhere. Really is rock solid.

No way Iíd want one. If I was in the market for an aqua bivvy then it would have to be the compact m3 over the new pioneer every time. If I was in the market for any shelter then the tempest beats this in every aspect.

If anyone is near Leighton buzzard then Iíd say take a trip to browns, they have the atom, pioneer, Titan, tempest composite and tempest brolly all set up next to each other, with bedchairs in so you get a proper feel of each one and can make a direct comparison. Canít beat seeing stuff in the flesh.

Browns also have a new bivvy section opening at their daventry store for you midlands monkeys.

The aqua consultants do not see the product prior to manufacture!

Anybody of average size or over will be uncomfortable sitting in one of these.

It's beyond belief isn't it? Time and time again we see the faults straight away but the so called experts who design these products do not live in the real world.

I just can't believe not one of their so call consultants. Said " hang on a minute. It's a bit small and a bit low"
I mean come on now.... really !!!

Thats got to be the most usefull pic ever posted, having owned a full sized pioneer one of the best things i liked about it was the height, sapose some may like the low profile but not for me, way to low, ya know what will come next the 1 1/2 man by popular demand
