Did you use the Infinities line clips as they were. I use a bit of powergum or similar wedged in them to act as buffer.
They seem to sharp without them.
Don't think they were ever designed to limit the distance of your casts, just to stop the line uncoiling when you pack them away.

Small/Medium Shimano line clip, spring & E clip cost 1 each (3 total - washers are pennies for tens anyway!) & are exactly what Jim's Reel Shop are selling for 12.99!!! TBH my SS2600's cost me 1 each in parts as only needed the actual clip itself as a piece of 1mm sprung wire bent to fit inside spool housing does the job perfectly (spring & E clip on SS2600 actually catches on rotor when spool at closest motion on retrieve hence the sprung steel like the ESP reels use). No idea why people spend this sort of money when the same option is available for a few minutes research.

Local rod builder charges 10 including fitting the clips (which is who I got info on what to use)

Hi lads, I've snapped the line clip off one of my emblem X 5000t, the black ones. South custom reels don't do a clip for this reel.

Does anyone know of an alternative ? Or where I can get the spare spools for these
