As in post 3 try the handles if that's not it remove the spools turn the handle so the exposed spindle is at its longest then put some light oil on the exposed shaft. If this doesn't cure it it's a case of taking the side cover off unfortunately

It will probably just be the handles , get some 2 in 1 oil and put a few drops where the handles meet the shaft and around the general area

See if the reel has a service port hole on it as some do .If you want it for a full strip and rebuild service few companies around that do it the tackle box in Kent , Shimano felindre , shimano service centre , future fishing , south custom reels , Weston developments , custom reels

My xta long casts have developed a bit of a squeak, and one is a bit stiff, any easy way to lubricate? (Not up for totally stripping them down).

Alternatively, any recommendations on where to send them for a look over?
