PJ - like the idea of using Sugars dissolved in the warm water and leaving to ferment. As you say, it will aid the flaked maize to start the natural process and become 'more' attractive to the carp........

may have to try this process as a Method Feeder one weekend soon - using Turbo Vitalin

You can also make up the balls in advance, freeze them then take out 24 hours before you need them.

It is much better made the day before as Josh says, but as Scozza said you have to roll them sticky if you ball them up. When made with warm water, and made the day before. You're giving the maize and other goodies in there a chance to ferment a little bit. It's so much better at attracting carp when it is like this. Try just leaving it in a bucket made up for twenty four hours or so, and then balling it up on the bank.

Try dissolving some normal sugar with the hot water, before you put it into the dry Vitalin. That will help things.

Hi mate,

This is how I use it.

Mix with warm water, I always add a good slug of CSL or mollasses to mine

I use a large Sensas bucket for mixing, if I'm doing loads, for example with a mate, I do it bankside on a plastic sheet with lake water, both can then mix and ball up.

Add the water gradually, I usually add freebies mid way such as hemp and corn and give it a good mix in. Add the water until it sticks easy, cover it then leave it for 15 minutes min to soak in. After this point, check it, may need some more water.

Baiting up, long range, tangerines size max.

You will need to ensure its sticky if your using it the next day. I used to roll a load and take them in an old rucksack to the lake, wade out with chesties and fill it in. Used to fish the A1 pits quite a few years ago now, I know a guy called Cookey, he used to use it, he used to empty the place, we discussed it a couple of times

Hello,
Firstly please excuse my inexperience,I want to make some Vitalin balls up to use as a ground bait type freebie but donít know how, also can I make them up the night before or will they collapse and be unusable as a ball to catapult out.

Thanks for looking.
