I was going to buy an overwrap for mine. I think I will hang on now.

Someone on another thread mentioned their super extended dillo wrap. Now that would be a handy thing to have. Iíd forgotten how good a proper porch is on longer wet sessions.

I was just wondering how people are getting on with these as I'm thinking of getting one as my V1 Tempest brolly is starting to show its age and I want a a shelter with a rear vent on it as I struggled under the Tempest last summer.

No Idea as I haven't seen it
Cyprinus stuff has not let me down what I have got

Ive got the Maxus 2 man and overwrap that I use when in France - its fantastic for the money, never had an issue with it but only used it about 6 times

Got the memory foam bed and would not be without it .... Ive got a back that struggles and have tried lots of other beds before this - 6 in total and this the best Ive found - its heavy and quite cumbersome but better than light and making my back ache ( very warm in the winter due to the 50mm memory foam)

Im sure there is better stuff out there but for the money Cyprinus is great value

Those of you interested in this kind of thing.

There is now a product video review of this bivvy on the carpology website.

I can barely work my iPhone so perhaps someone else might be able to link to it.

Wait for the new hugely expensive aqua pioneer thatís due this year. From memory werenít they quite high fronted?

Expect to have to sell a kidney to pay for it though. And with aquas recent quality control expect to have several of them before you get a good one.

Yes, the cyprinus IS the aqua Brolly.

I bought one as did several mates. They are good BUT not great. Aqua were seriously ripping us off with these. The cyprinus price is fair IMO but not a bargain.

6ft 4!!!! Isnít there clouds up that high?

Iím compact sized so a compact bivvy suits me fine. I feel a bit bad about recommending it now without taking that into consideration, itís just not something I have to worry about at 5ft 7. Lol.

Hope you can sell it on and get nearly your money back on it.

Used it for 48 hours and its a great bivvy but its pretty low for me at 6 ft 4, perhaps it was the ground i was on but it was too low to sit on the bed chair without touching the roof with a fox flatliner bedchair, im sure if your 6 ft or shorter its perfect but for me a little low, and i like to sit on the bedchair looking out.
So the only issue is down to my height , the bivvy is top drawer Shame as its a incredible bit of kit for the money, my mate ordered one today after looking at it.

That's quite possibly it mate. I know 20 years ago I would definitely have bought the Aqua and not the Cyprinus but maybe the older we get, we just see things differently.
Or maybe I'm just getting more thrifty in my old age.
Ooooh, spending money......shameful!

I know it's slightly off topic and has probably been covered before so apologies in advance. I bought a Cyprinus brolly last year which is EXACTLY the same as the Aqua fast & light. I set it up right next to my mates fast & light and within 10 seconds we agreed it was the same item with a different badge.
Only I paid £95 off their ebay shop.
Another mate was seriously dubious about my claim (he's a major league tackle tart too) but on seeing mine in the flesh, he ordered one for himself.
How I laughed at him for buying a 'not too trendy' brand!
How he laughed at me when he told me he'd managed to get it for £5 cheaper than I paid!

Mines never leaked but they are so cheap I figured if it does in the future then Iíll just chuck a tin of fabsil on it. Itís difficult to get the hump if a £150 bivvy springs a leak in a few years, I reckon I will have had my moneys worth by then.

got it this morning really good for the money, all the extras included big old carry bag to carry everything with room to spare, and even a little sleeve to carry it when its stripped right back to just the bare shelter , although you can fit it in there with the door just a bit of a squeeze... really good first impressions , the material is the same as my aqua fast and light or very similar, it seems good quality for sure.
its coming out on the bank tomorrow for 48 hours so will have to see if it continues to impress.
If it had a different badge on it i reckon people would pay 500 quid and be pleased. As it is i payed 150, and im well chuffed , If it leaks ill update but i doubt it from what ive seen so far, but you never know.

The money they cost is probably about right in a sensible world but, because weíre so used to getting fleeced, it seems a great bargain.
Looks a very nice bit of kit, especially compared to some of the over priced **** Iíve slept in.

From memory I think they are two break ribs. The material is aquatex. So yes it has the rubberised feel to the inside. Iíve compared mine to a mk2 camo fast/light and the material appears to be the same. No issues with my dpm4 so far.

I have the Dpm4 and itís spot on, got mine with the wrap too and as mentioned the only difference I can see is the peak, Itís came with about 10 bags for all the front, groundsheet etc
Used mine for a week in France last year in some torrential rain, hail and crazy winds and it was perfect, No dodgy stitching either nothing broke and all the pegging points are fine,
Couldnít recommend it highly enough, itís a lot of kit for the price

I received a Cyprinus DPM4 bedchair cover last week in an Aqua box, with brown tape covering the Aqua logo. Itís not a copy of the Aqua one, it IS the Aqua one, but with cyprinus badges. I expect the bivvies will be a similar story!

Anyone know if the Cyprinus Camo4 compact is an exact copy of the Aqua M3 Compact? I heard somewhere that some of the Cyprinus stuff comes in Aqua boxes, anyone know if that is true?
