I really rate Tech wash & TX Direct myself Goose, it’s what Paramo recommend and it definitely works on Goretex too but I’m sure they all do a good job if the prior due diligence is given ie boil washing your machine prior and completely cleaning the detergent tray absolutely thoroughly 👍

*Edit yes never use phosphate based detergents as they adhere to the fabric much like dirt and cause membrane derived waterproof fabrics to wet out and like you point out lift taped seems

True and never use standard detergent as it causes the tape on the seams to come apart. Storm is the best stuff to use, it's a two part process, one is a wash suitable and approved by gore-tex and the other is a dwr coating. Use this one my motorbike gore-tex gear and rate it highly.

Most people that say ex army jackets leak or wet through probably haven’t cleaned with pure soap flakes, it works exceptionally well OG, it’s minute dirt particles that trap between the gore fibres that allow capillary action leading to wetting out!

My ECWS Gen 3 turned up from the US today. Worked out about £170 total with import fees and taxes from fleabay. I know from previous through someone else, that buying them direct from Tennier Industries works out at over £500... Looks the mutts nuts. I'd guess it's about half of the weight of my Gen 2 where it is just a pure gore-tex shell.

Had a Helikon one. Utter rubbish, leaked like a sieve. The Miltec one is very good though.
