You'd die of heat stroke if you wore one of them zipped up inside a 5 season bag!

I always have a Sasquatch and a Sleeka in the car. I've only worn them both one day, it was -7 (real feel), freezing Easterlies , and I still ended up hot.

The less you have on underneath them, the warmer you will be. If you wear a Sasquatch mate, try just a merino wool thermal underneath, with no hoodie or similar. The hoodie will actually make you a bit colder, not warmer. They work on body heat, and you need your body to be able to heat the jacket.

They are the mutts nuts. All of my Mediums have fitted me over the years, I must be lucky.

Snugpak jackets have terrible sizing and fit. I swear no two labelled the same size are actually the same. Never found one that would fit me, either too big/small/short. I'm not a fat/short/tall or skinny bloke.Just your average Joe at 5'11" 42 chest, 32 waist and generally never have issues with finding stuff that fits, but Snugpak stuff is a total joke. Quality isn't that amazing either. You can get a Craghoppers insulated jacket for half the price and with a decent fit/sizing and arguably, better quality.

that is the Sasquatch you are thinking of

Yes it was the Sasquatch I was referring to and not the SJ9 (got lost somewhere)

Got to wonder how cold it has to be to want two Snugpak jackets on!

Just wish they did oversize salopettes to go with it.

Once you've got a Sasquatch, nothing else will do! Got mine a few years ago off Ebay in the middle of July.......couldn't wait for the winter to try it out!
If any of you haven't tried the Snugpak salopettes, they're spot on too.

Sorry mate but youíre wrong, that is the Sasquatch you are thinking of, this is taken from the Sasquatch description on the Snugpak website
Please note: these jackets are oversized as they were initially designed to fit over our Sleeka Jacket for extreme cold weather protection.

and this is the SJ9 description
The new design is tailored to fit the contours of your body

Unless thatís what you are saying of course

That's because the SJ9 is cut differently to be a 'body hugging' fit

No it's because its made to go OVER a normal sized Snugpak - they did mention the Sleeka. That is why it is oversized but still classed as an XXL

I still use a Gore-Tex outer jacket if expecting more than just showers as the material used is not "waterproof" but water resistant. The main difference between them and other similar jackets is that the filling still retains its thermal properties when wet unlike a lot of the others which only work when they are dry.

The SJ9 XXL is nowhere near as big as a Sasquatch which is rated up to a 57" chest.

No it doesn't. It says "water repellant" which they are.

Been using my sasquatch for winter night fishing and evening walks. Very warm and they can be picked up for around 100 quid. I have tried the Fortis equivalent in the shops but i find the sasquatch much more comfortable as its softer and moves with me. No carp tax either.

They did a warmer rated one a while back called the blizzard but it appears to be discontinued now.
