In reply to Post #44 I still use a thermal cover over the Gardner bag when it's really cold. I must be a bit of a lightweight!

The sim makes a huge difference in comfort levels, plus the Gardner bag is the warmest I've had...

In reply to Post #34 . . .also test drove the compact for a quick 24hrs yesterday . . .brilliant bag - much better than my old Fox Ventec lite.
More foot-room and less 'sweaty' / more breathable. Unbuckled the inner layer and slept on top of that under the top layer only . . .comfy and spacious - fits Wychwood Tactical X Standard bedchair perfectly . . .

In reply to Post #34 I bought a gardner waterproof carry bag for mine plus one and fits in perfect. The only downside is the bag i 1 meter long when the bag is in it, so its not very compact. It was very reasonably priced as well at £22 and very well made.

In reply to Post #34 You've been using it with the winter layer attached in August?
You must wake up a stone lighter in the morning.
Mine lives in the bedchair from September till June, then it's in the garage.

In reply to Post #33 Bought the compact version (Its still massive) of this and used it for 4 nights So far. . My god its warm with the extra layer in. Superb piece of kit.. down side the stufff sack is poor. Ive stuffed mine back in but the stitching is already going on the seams..
Can anyone recommend a replacement bag for it. To live in.

In reply to Post #30 From memory I think I'd did come out in two or three pieces but I managed to get it out of the original hole I made.
Worth the effort of fiddling about for a few minutes because it's a vast improvement imo👍

In reply to Post #13 I’ve had one of these a season or so now, bought for when I take the dog, ended up using it all winter as I couldn’t be arsed to get my other out and get it washed. Great bit of kit for me, about as good a carp fishing sleeping bag as your money will buy. Doesn’t come anywhere near the ecu modular sleep system for warmth, but there isn’t an angling inspired sleeping bag out there that ever will. Good bag for the money, I’d recommend.
