Yeah have thought that that may be the case. I don't mind catching some pike as well, would just like to catch a Zander of any size as i've never even seen one before let alone caught one. I don't do a lot of predator fishing and am far from an expect either but have heard that a lot of the water ways around Cambridge have declined in recent years. Just hoping it's not as bad as reported.
Cheers.

Iíve fished at Ramsey over the years and have to say that the predator fishing has definitely been on the decline. One of my good friends had a couple of small zander from there a few years back but Iíve only ever had pike! The best just under 20lb....

I only fish the fens a couple of times a year so Iím no expert but Iíve definitely had my best results (pike fishing) roving along and dropping into as many spots as possible,

Good luck

Not really mate, no dedicated car parking apart from on the other side of pocket park so about a 15 minute walk from there. If not somewhere out on the road. Its not exactly the bronx round here so your car will be quite safe

Yeah had a look there will give it a try. I think you can get a day ticket on the bank, couldn't find out if there is any where to park though. Do you know?

I'm going to try to catch my first ever Zander this winter. Anyone got any tips or best places to go in Cambridgeshire?
