In reply to Post #7192 Be interested on the outcome of this considering the bans Sturridge and Barton got for the same thing.
Sturridge 4 months = 11 alleged bets
Barton = 18 Months - 1260 bets !
Toney = 232 allegations.
Got to be looking around 12 months?

Toney, tut tut tut. No wonder he's not been called up. Big ban coming, idiot.

In reply to Post #7189 He wasn't allowed to take a pay cut under La Liga rules he actually offered to play for free.

In reply to Post #7188 Messi.
All the tears he shed because of the love he has for Barcelona but he had to leave because they could no longer afford him.
All he had to do was take a wage cut, it's not like he's short of a few bob.

In reply to Post #7186 I just like Messi
Agree that the football organisations should have boycotted earlier. But... money

To be fair, does it feel like a World Cup

In reply to Post #7184 Awful.
Loads of facts now appearing on the data used to try and justify LTNs is flawed. I could put them on my thread but it would be overload.
I doubt if many people read the thread and if I bombard it I might put off the few that do read it.
Back on topic.
I don't blame footballers for going to Qater. They are young men who have worked hard to fulfill their dreams
What should have happened is that the football authorities of all the countries should've announce years ago they would not attend. maybe hold an alternative tournament.
I stand by what I said earlier, don't go to Qatar and break the law however unjust we think they are.
Argentina?
That must be missing I'm not getting, I must be missing something

In reply to Post #7182 You've read way far too much into that. My politics reference was you mentioning Donald, nothing else.
It was meant to be a joke

In reply to Post #7181 No point talking politics against the 'if you don't like being oppressed then stay indoors / stay away
' argument.... if only those whinging Jews had listened to that sound advice back in 1939 eh?
Football, government, celebrity... none of them put actual morality before money do they? Beckham is a national treasure cause he queued up to see the Queen but weeks later he's whoring himself for a corrupt organisation in a ****ty country. ...
As said, any player, Football association or government that really wanted to take a stand has the option to not go. Didn't the cricketers do something similar with apartheid back in the day?
At least Ronaldo has his priorities sorted. Refuses to play against spurs but happy to take the fifa dollars...
I hope Argentina win
Or Wales

In reply to Post #7180 Agreed.
I'm not condoning what happens in Qatar but If you are gay and want to go to there then don't hold hands in public, wait until you get to your hotel room and fill your boots.
If you think that's wrong then don't go.
If woman are expected to cover their heads and they don't want to then don't go, stay at home.
If you want to moan, then moan at FIFA.
@Mal
No political talk please

Anyone else sick and tired of hearing about the world cup and it's not started yet.
All these token gestures by some of the countries fall short if they wanted to make a statement they should
have pulled out all together.
