I know it would have gone mental!

They've said that if city had scored then it would have been chalked off for the handball by silva just before it hits Trent. ..

What a mess!

Still the end result was right so no harm done

If the penalty was given, think of the uproar if your goal had to be disallowed

Yeah well chuffed

We got lucky with the penalty shout early on, but no mistaking the quality of Fabinho's hit.

If var had given the penalty against Trent, would our goal gave still stood? I'm assuming it would have to as in all the other var calls where play continues they haven't discounted the following 2 or 3 minutes of action... play to the whistle city....

Would have been a very interesting call.

City probably controlled the game in terms of possession etc but we were just more efficient. We were good going forward and defended well as the game went on. If we are still this far ahead in January I'll be a happy man

Great game for a neutral

You must be well pleased with that result

To be fair it’s goals that matter but City are still the best team in that league by a country mile imho, dominated the game and I’ve never seen them miss so many chances as well as one deffo penalty, possibly two? Aguero could have had 3 in the first half and they hit the post.

Kompany is a massive loss for them, Bravo will be out lol, two massive **** ups for the Scouse goals, and a great, typical, Salah goal!

Great game

You must be well pleased Mal, onwards and upwards

Anybody got a life raft we can borrow. At this rate I think we are going to need one...or several. I thought last week was bad, but yesterday...

A draw is obviously better for us than for city but to be honest I really want the win. After last season it was the defeat to city and then a few draws afterwards that let them in for the title.

We've got a stupid amount of games over the next couple of months so 3 points would be massive today

Agree

The potential is there, ref needs to make final call. Long way to go but it's gonna be very costly for some clubs sadly

Today's game I think wiĺl be a cracker. Pressure is on City for me, not you lot, they need the win, I'm guessing you would take the draw?

Prediction from me, no idea, could go either way

Just hope it's as good as it looks on paper

The thing is if they change VAR now they'll be people saying that decisions made in the past and decisions made now would be different and so be unfair. In the long run VAR done sensibly will be a good thing but at the moment it's ****.

The offside call was ridiculous - just like firmino's armpit last week and plenty of others too.

Too many of them at the minute. It needs addressing but overall var should eventually prove to be a good thing. I hope....

Remember we've been asking for it for ages. They just need to get some of the stupid decisions sorted.

Didn't Alli do a handball last week too?

Super Sunday match could be a cracker. Or we could cancel each other out like last year. ..

Don’t recall you being so anti VAR when we had a goal ruled out by the same margin, if you gonna keep giving us the benefit of your vast footballing knowledge on here you got to be impartial and not spout **** just because you don’t like a certain team, I bet you’re just like that Harry Enfield character in real life “ you don’t want to do it like that you want to do it like this”
