In reply to Post #4457 Top 2 managers is arguable but in your choice Dyche would be no1 and Klopp no2.

In reply to Post #4456 Koeman has history with the club I guess - played in Cruyff's team there. Maybe a bit of nostalgia?
There's a rumour that he's taking it on for a year as a club favourite brought in to clear out some of the older heads and bring through some youngsters. More palatable for the fans if a club legend does it rather than a manager from outside of the fold I suppose...
The 2 best managers are already taken - Klopp ain't leaving Anfield and Dyche is on to a good thing at Burnley with free Greggs any time he wants...

In reply to Post #4455 He's not all bad just tactless in his business.
I remember when he announced retirement from international football that wasn't without some controversy.
When he was constantly dropped I think the fans had some sympathy for him but I think that's gone over time.
Shame as I'd like to see his leaving as a mutual thank you between him, the club and the fans.
Still this thread is not all about him.
I see Koeman is the new Barca manager there must be a shortage of good managers at the moment, you'd think Barca could attract someone better than him.
Or am I missing something

In reply to Post #4447 Surprise surprise, I’m going to stand up for Ozil , he weren’t the only player to refuse, one other did, plus he asked for more details before committing, he wasn’t against the idea but wanted to know exactly what the club had in mind, as it is he looks like he was right because the club still laid off 55 staff even after the others took a cut.
