I think the biggest controversy in this whole affair is
Arsenal being one of the big clubs

In reply to Post #5744 I heard this scheme was announced yesterday just to get more money out of UEFA as they are announcements today and the super league won't happen.
Just a theory I heard, we'll have to wait and see.

Premier league complaining but they did the same to the FA, The main culprits are Liverpool, Man Utd, Real and Barca, like you say the others have signed for fear of losing out on the millions on offer, I can just imagine what ticket prices are going to be 😳

In reply to Post #5741 Like Neville said, all the owners of these clubs, the Americans and Russians etc have no respect for the history of the game or the fans, purely the business side
**** me, sounds like carp fishing

In reply to Post #5735 Jimmer - I can remember the same reaction when they first floated the idea of the champions league to replace the European cup. And when they first announced the Premier league too.
It'll happen if it's going to and the likes of bayern and psg will sign up for fear of being left behind. And fans will watch in their millions as they do already because the alternative is stoke vs Rotherham and with no ill will towards such clubs, that's hardly the pinnacle of the game.

In reply to Post #5740 It will get boring, same teams in league and cups, it’s not always the best teams that make a match day, I’ve seen West Ham play Spurs more times than any other team, always a good day out with the bonus of it being a local derby, teams like Birmingham, Stoke etc, there fans know they not going to win anything but week in week out they go to the game and enjoy it, you don’t get that with Real or Barca fans they expect to win and **** me they don’t take losing very easy, when we beat Real at Wembley 3-1 their fans were all crying, blokes and all

In reply to Post #5739 Good on them
I hope it all goes tits up
Can’t see how they will maintain fan base longer term anyway!

In reply to Post #5738 Bayern and PSG not signed into it

In reply to Post #5737 Seen it, Gary Neville was having a rant after the UTD game. For once I agree with the boring ****
All about the money James, not the fans anymore, there ain’t a club about that can survive on fan revenue, probably a couple of decent players wages a year, it’s gonna happen, there has been noises for years, **** em
Like most things in life, it’s about greed. You could put Pontypridd in the super league, pay extortionate wages, win a few trophies and everybody wants to be a part of it, club names and history don’t come into it, Real, Barca, Milan etc. Will love it to start with

In reply to Post #5736 Theyve signed up, got nothing to do with how well a club plays, it’s a money thing

What a strange game. Should've won but Fulham got all the VAR decisions except the one in the 7th minute of injury time.

Sheffield United relegated...Oh dear, how sad. Never mind!

In reply to Post #5729 They've been looking really good for weeks. Wouldn't be surprised to see them win the champions league as well.
Abramovich's cash, lampard's groundwork and tuchel's experience. .. all coming together at the right time.
City need to do the impossible and try to replace aguero. Not as easy as just throwing money at haaland or kane. Both very good but aguero has been the best striker of his generation for me.
