In reply to Post #5825 Agreed if i go now its non league for me.

Had a similar scenario at West Ham, fans on the pitch, board out etc, etc.
They sold our ground to a house builder and pocketed the money which I’m sure you will agree was a fairly good reason to be upset.
I bought season tickets for the new ground and went twice, hated it and doubt I’ll ever go back.
Football is obviously now a huge business and I think at the top end the romantic idea that protesting will change things is fairly naive.
Just imagine if the owners of one of these clubs looked at the finances, and thought if we sell all of our best players cash up everything else we can and walk away with a nice profit what would fans be thinking then ?
I can remember watching a documentary about Blackburn winning the league, a fantastic achievement funded by jack walkers millions, that season 98% of their turnover was spent on players wages, brilliant for the fans but totally unsustainable.
What we have today is Blackburn on steroids, mega wealthy foreign businessmen are not here for any other reason than to earn as much money as possible and a few pissed up lads are not going to change that, I do wonder if there would have been more demonstrations had the weather been a bit better 🤓

In reply to Post #5823 Of course the fans have a big part to play in it, they've seen their 2 biggest rivals win the league in recent seasons, and naturally they want in, and turn on the owners, yes they have taken money out the club, but they've also stumped up huge amounts in players transfers and wages.
I have zero sympathy if I'm honest, look at some of the smaller clubs who have gone bust like Bury, or others that have gone into administration because of the owners, then deducted points because of it, now they are because of bad owners.

In reply to Post #5821 Owners, agents and arguably some of the players. As regards to yearning to challenge Man City, I've no idea. Ask a Utd fan.

In reply to Post #5821 Players wages and agent fees are killing it as well as the greedy owners.

In reply to Post #5820 But where is the greed coming from? Is it the owners? Or is it the fans who probably yearn to be challenging city??

Protest by all means but ffs, what a bunch of d*cks. Coppers should have gone in, locked the doors behind them and sorted it out with a good smack!
We should all be 'United against greed' no matter who we support.

In reply to Post #5817 It must be really tough being one of the biggest clubs in the world, definitely in a far worse state than Bury were in, I do hope they pull through in the dire moment of need. Careful what you wish for United fans

In reply to Post #5815 Strange how you fail to mention Gobber Carragher nodding in agreement with what Neville was saying.
"Same old scousers always bleating!"

In reply to Post #5815 I feel sorry for the fans who made the journey and couldn't get in.

In reply to Post #5811 A slim chance. It means we must not concede, that's a rarity
Saw the Manure scores as they come up in the bottom corner, mad!
